S4 E4 - Girl Meets Maya's Bully

*Hours later, at cheerleading practice*

"Okay Fire Cheetahs! Positions in three..."
"Maya..." I shush Riley
"We'll talk later"
"Two..."
"Why did you rush-"
"I need to concentrate for this since I'm on top"
"One..."
"Ma-"
"Not now!"
"Go!" Everyone takes their positions for the pyramid and I'm honestly scared since Anna has to help me to get on top with a back flip.
I take her hands and I can see her smirk. I'm screwed aren't I? She squeezes them, especially the right one, making me cringe in pain. As soon as I jump for the back flip I can feel her pushing me with way more strength than she should've used, making me fly to the air and fall on the ground on my face. She immediately kneels down
"You better not say a word about this" she whispers before leaving space for Riley, Missy and Alice to gather around me. I don't know if I can handle this anymore. She's been making cheer practice hard for me for weeks now. At least I just have to see her only these practice hours.
"Oh, my gosh, Maya! Are you okay?! " I groan in pain
"Yeah, I'm cool" I rest my hand on my forehead and notice that I'm bleeding.
"Let me see..." The three of them start checking on me
"You have a scratch on the forehead, I'll go get some band aids. Missy leaves
"You also have lots of scratches. Are you sure you're okay?"
"Girls, I just have a few bruises and scratches. I'm fine"
"What happened?" Riley asks me
"I-" I notice that Anna is glaring at me. I can't tell the truth or things will go worse
"I jumped way too high and fell. Yeah, that's what happened" she smiles and goes back to talking to the other girls.
"Maya, be more careful. You're the most important part of the pyramid since you're on top" I look down
"Can I... can I not be on top anymore?" Alice's eyes widen
"What?! Why?"
"Maybe, I'm not apt for this" she rolls her eyes
"Oh, and who would be a better top then?" I look away
"Maybe Anna?" the evil girls smiles and joins our conversation
"Why, thank you, Maya. I'd love to-" Alice interrupts her
"No. You're the shortest, the lightest and most athletic one here. You're staying on top. Got it? You just have to practice more, got it?" I slowly nod and get up
"Okay, from the beginning now!" Anna stomps on my left foot and I bite my tongue to contain the tears from all the pain that I'm proving right now
"You better figure a way to get me to be on top" she whispers in my ear and walks away just Missy approaches me, giving Anna a fake smile. Weird, I though they joined forces to try to steal Lucas from me and became friends.
"Hey, everything's okay?"
"Yeah" she keeps looking at me with a frown, making me confused
"What?"
"What'd she say to you?"
"Oh. Don't worry. Nothing important"  I take the first aid kit to get the band aids but she stops me
"You really think that you just need a few band aids? You also need to clean your wounds. This is why I took the whole kit" I sigh
"Okay. Give me the the alcohol then"
"I'm not letting you do this alone" I groan in frustration. She's really starting to get on my nerves
"Why not?"
"I can already tell by the way you bandaged your hand that you have no idea on how to use medical equipment"
"And what do you know?"
"My dad is a surgeon" I look down and blush, she does know about it.
"Oh" she sighs
"Okay, take a deep breath 'cause this is gonna hurt a little..." I prepare myself mentally for the pain that I'm about to suffer.

*After cheer practice, at Art Club*

Finally, some peace at last. My partner is missing so I'm alone, which is great. I really need some time to paint all by myself.
"Ms. Hart. I love the work you and your partner are doing" I smile
"Thank you, Mr. Jackson"
"Although I can see right away that you are doing most of the job. This could influence both of your grades" my heart stops for a brief second
"But it won't for this time" I sigh in relief
"Thanks"
"But I really need you to learn how to paint in couple"
"I know but James has a style that's too different from mine"
"That's why I put you together. You can learn from him and he can learn from you" there's a knock on the door
"Come in!" No, it can't be. Why is Alice here?!
"Ms. Jones. Welcome" he walks up to her
"Okay class! Meet Anna Jones. She's gonna be a part of this club from now on" she smirks at sits next to me. Okay Maya, you can handle this.
"Uh, Mr. Jackson?" I ask when I approach him
"Yes?"
"Not to be rude or anything but, what is she doing here? I thought you rejected her" he nods
"I did. But then she showed me her latest painting. It was truly magical. It really spoke to me. So, I made an exception and let her in" I slowly nod
"Is there something wrong?"
"No, absolutely not" I put on a fake smile and go sit back down
"Hi, Hart"
"Anna"
"Are you okay? I'm actually surprised you survived that fall"
"Yeah, well, I'm not that easy to knock out"
"I've noticed. I have to dig deeper, don't I? How's your mother by the way?" I look at her
"What did you do to her?" I ask sternly, I swear I'm gonna kill her.
"Oh, I didn't do anything. I just sent of my friends over at... Topanga's? What a stupid name for a bakery-"
"Just get to the point"
"Well, they might've ordered something and then they might've spilled those orders on the floor"
"I loathe you"
"Instead of 'loathing me' you should think about your mother. She's a pregnant woman after all. She can't bend down or do that much movement just to clean a mess. I can't even imagine how hard cleaning that mess must be for her" as much as I hate to admit it, she's right
"Mr. Jackson, can I leave early today? It's a family emergency" he smiles
"If you were another student I'd say no. But knowing you, you're definitely telling the truth. Go ahead Ms. Hart"
"Thank you" before I can stand up Anna stops me
"I forgot something..." she drops the red paint all over me
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" Is she really faking it?! As if it was some sort of accident
"I hope you can forgive me" I just groan and head to Topanga's
