it's been a week since i've told ponyboy about my feelings for sodapop. i'm surprised they haven't been for dally. anyways it was a really hot day today and all of us were dying because of the heat. we were all in shorts and all the boys had no shirts on and i had a tank top on. it was literally that hot. "hey guys why don't we just go to the lake?" everyone nodded and got up to get their stuff. i was sitting next to sodapop and i just couldn't but just admired his beauty. his sharp jawline can cut you like a knife. eyes sparkle in the sun. and hair soft like a pillow. lips red and soft like a strawberry. he was perfect. i think he caught me starring. "take a picture, it'll last longer" soda said smiling. i could feel my face burn up even more. "ima go get my stuff, i'll meet you guys at the park?" i asked but soda shrugged and said. "i'll just go with ya, i already got my stuff and i don't know if a soc might hurt ya." i smiled and we went out the door. when walking out i think i heard two-bit say "what's up with them." i chuckled at that and followed sodapop.

ever since ponyboy brought some random girl in i immediately felt something when i made eye contact with her. her smile was so heartwarming. her eyes will always sparkle, her h/c was so amazing, and her laugh is addictive. she was somethin' else. i loved it. i walked her to her house to get her stuff. i waited in the living room quietly just thinking.

i didn't want to leave soda waiting in the living room for so long so i kinda rushed.
i put a two piece black bathing suit under a basic white t with shorts and one of sodapops flannels he gave me with white hightop converses. i walked downstairs and greeted soda with a smile. "you look great as always y/n! and is that mine?"  i smiled and said "thanks soda, and yea you have it to me. remember?" he nodded. "let's get going?" he nodded and we left the house.
we met the gang after a few minutes because the curtis's house is only a few blocks from mine. one we met with the gang we went inside darry's truck. darry drove and all of us sat on the outside of the truck. the wind felt so good i just put my hands in the air and relaxed. all of us had a good time just talking.
"yea and that's how i went to jail" dally was telling his story of how he went to jail. it's funny because nobody was even talking about that.
then i felt a arm wrap around me. i looked to see who it was and it was soda. i just smiled but i didn't want him to feel uncomfortable so i scooted closer to him and laid my head on his shoulder.
i heard a whistle from steve and a howl from two-bit. i just laughed at them and took a water from my bag and went back to my spot.
