Arabella Easton

I sank into my sheets, hugging my pillow to my chest. Tear slipped out my eyes as Audrey's bangs and knocks against my door repeated. Usually, she would say my name and beg me to come outside, but this time it was more serious.

"Ara please. Brandon's here to see you." I stood up from my sheets and unlocked my door. Brandon stood in the door frame and frowned. He looked me up and down before his frown got worse. He knew that I had been crying and he knew why.

"Brandon what do you want?" Before he said anything, he closed the door from behind him and sighed.

"Ara I'm sorry about what I said but-"

"-It's okay B." His look softened at my words. "But if you can't find time for me, then we can't work out." I was expecting Brandon to fight for us, but the exact opposite came out.

"Ara I need this to come together and I need to put 100% into this. I-I'm sorry...."

His words hit me like a truck.

He was ending us.

Brandon leaned in for a hug and placed his arms around my shoulders. He pulled me into his chest and quickly pulled away.

And just like that, he left my room.

As soon as I heard the front door shut, I sank against my wall. My tears dripped hot off my cheeks as I grabbed my head with both of my hands. I let out loud cries which alarmed my sister, as she came bursting in my room to offer her comfort. I immediately turned away from her and fell to the floor, banging it with my hands. Audrey attempted to pick me up but my hands pushed her away.

He left me so easily.

My whole life crumbled in my room.

. . .

A week later

I have a flight to San Francisco. I'm moving back home. Audrey and I decided it was best for the both of us to move. She had better opportunities there and I needed to get away. I quickly packed my bags and boxed all my furniture. My room looked bigger. I let out a sigh and dusted my hands off to the faint call of Audrey's voice.

"Ara-" The boys suddenly bursted in my room, taking a look at my two huge luggages.

"Guys I'm sorry I didn't-" The boys immediately hugged me, making me feel like I wanted to explode. I was never planning on telling any of the boys, but they aren't dumb. I wasn't picking up any of their calls. I was going to miss my best friends, but I needed to move.

"Ara please don't go," Edwin begged. I wrapped my arms around Edwin's shoulders and sighed. Brandon wasn't in my room.

"Where's B-"

"Don't worry about him," Nick sighed.

. . .

Audrey and I stood in front of security meaning crossing the gates would mean goodbye. I turned around and gave each boy a hug. I loved them all so dearly and the fact that I wouldn't be able to see them hurt a lot.

"You take care of yourself in San Fran okay?" Zion smiled, twisting a strand of my hair.

"Only for you." I gave Zion a long hug as a tear slipped down my cheek. Austin cleared the tear with his long sleeved shirt, making me grin.

"I'll text you as much as I can homie," Austin laughed. I chuckled at his comment and did my handshake with Austin.

"Let me know when I can visit ma so I can vroom vroom over there," Nick said. I cupped his cheeks with my hands and hugged the boy.

"Whatever you do, call me everyday okay?" Edwin asked. I gave Edwin the tightest squeeze as he placed a small kiss on my forehead. I grabbed my luggage and said one last goodbye to the boys. Audrey and I walked through security as the boys looked at us through the clear windows. Their waves and blowed kisses made me want to cry, but I saved all my tears for later. Audrey had seemed to notice me forcing my tears back in my eyes, so she softly rubbed her hand on my back.

"Bub there's so much back in San Francisco, but we can visit LA anytime you want," she smiled. I nodded slowly at her words and sighed.

. . .

Our place reminded me of LA. Almost the same, but slightly bigger. My room felt empty and my furniture would be shipped here in about a week. Audrey pulled out two small air mattresses, dragging one into my room. I placed my blanket and a small pillow on it and called it a day. Before I laid down on my bed, I got a call from Edwin.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ara!" A collection of "hey Aras" was heard from the end of my phone.

"Hey guys!"

"FaceTime meeeee." I clicked the FaceTime button on my phone, allowing a live video of the boys to pop up on my little screen.

"ARA!" Nick yelled. He gave a little wave and smiled.

"Hey shark boy," I teased. Nick hit the camera with his fist and pouted.

"So whatcha doing?" Austin questioned. I flipped the camera around and pointed at the sad air bed in my room. I sighed and dug my head into my arm.

"Hey don't be sad," Edwin smiled, "lemme serenade you." I nodded my head as Edwin began to sing. The boys followed up with him by harmonizing with him and banging on the table for a steady beat. I couldn't help but laugh at the boy's attempt at making me smile, which definitely worked.

"You guys are goofs," I chuckled. I watched as the boys danced across my screen, singing and free styling. I looked closely to the corner of my screen, spotting what seemed to be Brandon. He was sat down with a glass of water, smiling at his phone. I couldn't help but frown to the sight of the person I loved being happy without me.

"Ara look!" Nick grinned. The boy danced to the beat boxing coming from Austin and Zion's mouth. I slowly moved my head to the beat, still keeping my eyes locked on Brandon. The four eyed boy eventually moved from his chair and out of the camera frame.

"Hey guys I gotta go," I lied, "Audrey needs help with something." The boys frowned to my words as I clicked the red button on the screen. My whole life was crumbling and I had no idea what to do about it.
