[Completed]
You're Y/N L/N, a great student with average grades at DUAT College. Four years ago? A police officer. But your insecurities got you kicked out. Your godfather, Hank Anderson, knows why. And so do you, but you have your own perspective...
And there Connor stayed for the rest of the night. He saw you sleeping, so he closed his eyes and put himself into sleep mode to save battery since there was nothing else to do. It wasn't the same as sleeping, he could listen everything around him. But Connor enjoyed the silence, somehow. It was different from the police station, which was always loud and busy. He could only hear you snore softly.
He found himself at the Zen Garden, suddenly. And there was Amanda, sitting on a classy chair while drinking tea. It was dark at the garden, but there was beautiful lights illuminating the whole place, making it as bright as daylight. Snowflakes were gradually painting the garden white.
"Good evening, Connor." Amanda greeted.
"Hello, Amanda." Connor walked over to the opposite chair of the table.
"It's a beautiful night today..." She said, glancing at the lights floating above the pond. "Have you discovered anything at this point?"
"There was a group of deviants at the Stratford Tower." Connor started. "I've discovered their leader... It's one of the RK prototype series. Markus."
Amanda took another sip of her tea. "What else?"
"One of them was left behind. I tried to probe it's memories, but..." Connor hesitated to talk about the fact that he got scared. Amanda surely knows about that, doesn't she? She's always watching. "It was too late. The deviant shot itself. But I was able to see a place called Jericho, the next step is to find where that place is."
"You decided to stay at (L/N)'s house... Why?" Amanda questioned. "Didn't you want to go back to Cyberlife?"
"She asked me to." Connor chose to be reasonable with Amanda. "I thought it would be rude of me to refuse, since she's my friend. But I've been learning new things with her, I believe It's not a bad thing. The more information I get, the better."
"Friends. She must be a lovely girl..." Amanda calmly said. Deep down Amanda was concerned about Connor's program, somehow his new "friendship" wasn't going to make him any good depending on what you're teaching him. "But remember, Connor. We don't have time for sleepovers. Find Jericho no matter what... And don't let (L/N) distract you."
"Don't worry, Amanda. You can trust me."
When the android opened his eyes, it was already morning. But the oddest thing wasn't that it was daytime, but your face very close to his while you were snapping your fingers next to his ear.
"(Y/N)."
"Finally, you woke up. And, uh.. who's Amanda?" You confusedly asked.
"Amanda is my handler. She's an A.I that monitors my progress in investigations." Connor simply explained.
"Right..." You furrowed your brows. "Well, we need to go or we're gonna be late."
The two of you took a taxi to get to the police station, and obviously you were earlier than Hank. It took a while for him to show up, but when he did, he first thing he noticed was you sitting on his chair.
"Ah, Jesus, what are you doing here again?"
"Good morning, Lieutenant." Connor greeted. "(Y/N) brought me here since I spent the night at her house."
"You what??" The day barely started but Hank was already getting stressed.
"Hey, it's fine." You said. "We just had a talk. And, um, Uncle Hank..." You stood up. "I really need to talk to you."
"And when you don't?" He scoffed, and folded his arms. "Alright. Hit me."
"I want you to let me join the police again."
"Ahh, Jesus fuckin' Christ, not again!" Hank rolled his eyes. "I thought this subject was over."
"I know, but you have to listen to me!" You said. "I was afraid to talk to you about this for a long time, but now I'm not... Robocop told me that I should just throw that fear away so that's what I'm doing."
"Robocop?" Hank quickly turned his head to Connor. He was really annoyed at this point. "Now I know where all this bullshit's coming from! I told you to not influence her in any way, Connor!"
"It's not his fault, Uncle!" You stopped your godfather from dashing to Connor. Hank looked down at you. "I know I made a mistake that night but that was a long time ago! I... I've changed! And if you let me join the police again, I promise I'll be the fearless cop you ever met!"
Hank was feeling cornered. But the only way he found to hide his thoughts was by being aggressive. "This is not about you, (Y/N)!" But he didn't lie, after all.
"Of course this is about me! It is my dream!" You argued. "I know that you and Fowler think this isn't for me, but this is what I want to do... This place is my home!" Your voice went soft. "And if I convince Fowler, I--"
"Fowler, Fowler! Fowler doesn't have anything to do with this." Hank suddenly said. "It was me who told him to kick you out!"
"What...?" You stopped. You were completely bewildered by his words. "But I thought Fowler didn't find me efficient enough to be a cop..."
"I almost lost you once, so I told Jeffrey to keep you out of this. "Hank was being the most honest version of him. With heavy breathing and a bit tired of all this, he glared at you with honesty. "And after Cole I just couldn't let you... Jesus, (Y/N), I was scared! Alright?"
Connor watched the whole arguing, he was also bewildered, but something in him already told him that Hank was afraid to lose you all this time. You grabbed Hank's hands. "I understand your fear... But please, Uncle Hank... Give me a chance to prove you my worth."
Hank stayed silent for a moment. He had to face this, you're not a little girl anymore. You're not (Y/N) the newbie and naive cop anymore. And he knows more than anyone else in this world how worthy you are. Then he sighed, already convinced. "Go talk to the Captain."
You smiled widely, and screeched in joy. You rushed to Fowler's office as soon as you heard those words. You stayed at his office for a while talking to him. After that, Connor and Hank watched you leave his office and head back to them.
"So what's the verdict?" Hank said.
You said nothing. You just raised your hand... and showed them your badge.
"Thank you, Robocop..." You looked up at Hank. "And thank you, Uncle Hank. I promise I won't mess up from now on."
You grinned, and hugged Hank as hard as you could. He hugged you back, even though he was a bit concerned, he was happy for you. Connor watched you two, he was also glad to have a new partner. You glared at Connor, and hugged him tightly so fast he couldn't react. You just raised your badge and filled your lungs proudly.
"I'M BACK, BITCHES!"
