"So that's the truth behind your relationship with Lieutenant." Connor said. "You felt like family there, and you two grew closer after Cole's incident."

"Yep." There was a bit more behind what you told Connor. You never talked about this with anyone before. You grew accustomed to hide some of your feelings, but somehow you felt the urge to tell him about your deepest thoughts. "But since Hank got deeply depressed... I've been increasingly worried about him. After Cole, Diana blamed Uncle Hank for everything that happened, and so did he. I have the same fear every single day... I can't count on my dad for anything. I don't wanna sound cheesy, but Uncle Hank was... He  is... He's the father I always wanted to have." Your hands started shaking as you kept thinking about your godfather and his deep struggle to live. "And... And I love him so much, Robocop, you have no idea. I fear waking up one day and he is no longer there for me... I want to prove him I can be better than before."

Connor thought he could understand your point of view about Hank, but he can't. He only understands the superficial on the subject: Hank took a good care of you, and you love him and you're afraid that he might take his life away. Connor can't dig deeper in your feelings, so he chose to be determined. "If you want to prove him your efficiency, then you should try to talk to him again. But you have to throw your fear away."

"I love him so much, I don't want him to die... I'd blame myself to death if that happens." You cried. "I want to be there for him just like he was there for me in the past." You sniffed, ashamed for crying so suddenly. You looked away. "I know this is weird, but... Can you hold me? Just for a sec?"

Connor's semblance went blank for a brief second. But he nodded. "Of course."

So you got closer to the android to hug him. You wrapped your arms around Connor, burying your face in his shoulder. Connor kept his arms on his sides, not very sure what to do. "You have to put your arms around me, dummy." You said. Connor blinked a few times, he has never been hugged before. But he slowly wrapped his arms around you, he could feel the warmth coming from you. Then you realized that Connor sure has a natural scent: fresh clothing and mint.

Connor carefully patted your back. "There... There."

He noticed that your eyes were closed, so he thought he could do the same. The room was as quiet as the night. Connor never hugged someone before, but he was bigger than you so it was kind of funny that his arms held you so perfectly.

Seconds later, after opening your eyes, you saw Connor with his eyes closed peacefully. You felt a bit awkward because the hug was going on for a while. "Uh, Robocop..." You said. "You can let me go now."

"Oh." Connor let you go of his embrace. "Sorry."

You glanced at the window, it was dark outside. "Wow... Time really flies. I told Hank that I wouldn't chit-chat with you but here we are."

"I think it's time for me to leave." Connor stood up.

"You can spend the night here if you want." You proposed.

"Are you sure I won't disturb you?" Connor kindly asked.

"I mean, this is better than staying at the DPD or making your way back to Cyberlife. "You shrugged while standing up. "Besides, you don't really need to sleep, do ya?"

"I'm still not sure if that is a good idea..." He said.

"Don't worry, it's not a pajama party." You said. "You'll spend the night here, the next day I'll take you to the station and try to talk to Hank again. And that's it. Also, sleepovers are kind of a human tradition, the kind of thing that friends do."
