This fanmade novel plays with the main quest in Fallout 4 by shifting the lens to a character of the author's creation and focusing in on certain canon characters, such as Paladin Danse. Some liberties I took for the sake of the novel's continuity: I have filled some plotholes present in the original story with my own made-up logic. I also stretched, condensed and/or altered other aspects of the original to effectively translate videogame logic into something that works better for a novel, particularly the story I am going to tell you.
This story was produced for fun by the author. Bethesda Studios retains all rights and ownership of characters, setting, plot, etc., related to Fallout, with the exception of those non-canonical characters added by the author.
