Question:

How do I grow in my Faith?

A:

Well that's a good question. And lucky for you I got the answer you need. Hello everyone! It's Brianna here again to talk to you guys about how to grow in your faith. Long time no see. Luckily I've been dealing with growing my Faith as well.

To be honest, recently I have been learning a lot about faith.  For about a year I was very far from my God. That was until I got to church camp. That whole week I was hanging out with my cell group and church family learning about Faith. The topic was all about faith and how we can grow in faith and sometime down the road become a Hero of Faith. Like Sarah, Noah, and Enoch. All three had such strong faith in God and His rewarded them through perfect timing for having such strong faith and going along with his plan. Even though they may have not fully understand God's plan at all.

That week on the last full day I found myself reuniting with Christ. It's not uncommon when we distance ourselves from God but I believe you can always come back and God will welcome you back. So I had to learn how to grow my Faith in God again. So here are my tips for you that I have learned from experience. Before we get started I want to say this. Find your own faith and make it your own. Don't believe something just because me, your pastor, parents, or anyone tell you. You have to search and find that yourself. Figure out your belief and make it your own. Now on to my tips.

1. Read the Bible. One way of growing your faith is reading the Bible daily and studying it. You will be surprised on how much you didn't know after you start reading your Bible daily. Recently I started a one year Bible reading plan. By next summer on July 23 I should be done with the entire Bible. You might have to make up for the days you missed but that's okay. 📖

2. Pray daily. Prayer is a way for us all to communicate with God. Don't just pray to God in times you are struggling pray to him everyday. Pray to him to help you grow in faith. Ask him to help you have a good attitude. Ask him to give you the right words when talking to someone about sin. Simple little things. You can even pray to him, thanking him for everything he has done for you. 🙏

3. Church. Find a good church. A church you feel comfortable going to and where people check in on you when you aren't there. A church that has a pastor or teachers who help you understand more about the Bible and God. The church is a community. And it's good to find a great community that is right for you. At church you can also ask questions and talk and ask for prayers. 💒

4. Find good friends who will strengthen you in your journey with Christ. I have many friends who believe in Christ. I have two friends specifically who are sisters and you would be amazed at how far they have come through Christ. Friends who believe the same as you are good to hang around and talk to. You can have nice conversations and nobody will judge you. And the good thing about friends who help strengthen you is that they can help guide you as well. And they will do it out of love and respect. What's best for you. 🤗

5. Role models. Find a role model who have faith that you want one day. There are a lot of role models out there for you. And they will share their faith and more. 😎

6. Worship and praise. Another thing to help you grow your faith is worshipping and praising your God. It's another way of forming a connection with him. Helping you build your relationship. 💕

7. Find your own faith and make it your own. Going back to what I said earlier. A reminder for you all. You need to read and study and find your own faith. You also need to make that faith you own. If you believe adultery is a sin because your pastor said it. Then that's not your faith. It's your pastor. You need to read and learn and grow your connection with God. You need to believe that adultery is a sin because you found it somewhere in the Bible in your own journey. In the end you need to search and find that faith and make it all your own. ☮️

I hope I have helped you out on your journey in growing your faith. Because it is a pretty important journey you are on right now. And hopefully one day you can tell me about how you became a Hero of Faith just like many others. No matter how long it takes. Who knows might be a year or maybe ten. But trust me you are never alone in this journey and there will be plenty of people God will put in your life to help and guide you. Feel free to message me at anytime to talk some more about this. I've also been working on some writing on this topic.
