Zack's PoV

"Hey, little girl."

"I'm not a little girl!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah, whatever, what're we gunna do about this?! It's 2 vs 5!"

"D-uhh..."

She has no idea, does she? Well, I'll just do what I always do.

"What're you doing Zack?!"

"What does it look like?! I'M GOING IN FOR THE KILL!" I jump at the police.

Swiftly, I somehow manage to dodge bullets from the 3 officers pointing. Maybe that girl knows I'm creating a distraction from the other 2 officers. Giving her the chance to shoot without getting harmed.

I successfully knock out three officers and the girl killed the other two cops.

"You're useful after all." I say without emotion and pat the girls head.

"Shut up..."

"So what's next?" I question her.

"Dunno." She shrugs while stealing another cop's gun.

"I'm thinkin' to run away."

Your PoV

Run... away? The thought lingered in your mind.

It's not a bad idea... I have been caught and I'm probably wanted now. Then Zack, he's set up for execution next week. So... Thats that.

"Good idea."

"Really?"

"Yep. Since we're runaways now, people would be looking for us all over town. The best option would be the woods that surrounds the place. But one thing is that we don't know how far the forest stretches."

"Well, we'd better pack supplies. Follow me."

"Where are we going?"

"To get something that is crucial for survival."

"Are you sure you don't use it to kill?"

"Well... that too."

"What is it?"

"A scythe."

Once we got his precious scythe, we head over a convenience store to get supplies. While Zack was busy terrifying the cashier with his scythe and getting money, I just grab whatever was on the shelf and put it in the 2 baskets I had in my hand.

"Thank you for your service, sir." He kills him anyways.

"Why did you kill him?" I ask.

"Because he deserves it."

I gave him a confused it.

"What? You don't know a damn thing about him."

Oh I see...

When we got out of the convenience store, what do you know it? Even more cops. Goddamnit.

Well, this place is small anyways, or did the author wanted some actions and overused cops for it...

"I thought you had kept an eye on the cashier!"

"What the fuck do you mean?!" He says.

"Ugh! Never mind!"

Quick, think fast... Uhh. Oh!

"Zack," I whisper, "On my count, back up into the convenience store, there must be a door that opens to the woods in the back."

"Gotcha." He understood.

"1..." I start, retreating one foot back.

"STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE." One of the officers commands through the megaphone.

"2..."

"Hey! Wait isn't that Isaac Foster? He's set up for execution next week Friday. We should shoot him!"

"3!"

We run back in the store, I'm scanning for the door. "Found it!" I point.

"Good, let's go!" He suddenly grabs my hand firm and pulls me forward.

"Uh... GAH!"

We ran through the back door entering the forest.

"They went out through the back door!"

Seriously? Damn it.

"Just keep on runnin'!" I say.

"Yeah, I know that!"

Cops start trailing behind us, I take out a gun from and try to aim at them.

Bang.

I-I got one! Woo!

That... felt good!

I aim towards another cop.

Bang.

"Hahahaaa~! Take that! Little shits!" I yell like a maniac.

I try to shoot another one, but missed that one.

"Fuck. Run faster!"

"You're the one who's running slow!"

"Shut up! Just go!" I pick up my speed.

"Geez, fine!"

"..."

"What?"

"... Ahahah! HAHA." I start laughing.

"WH-WHAT'RE YOU CHUCKLING ABOUT? HAHAH..." he starts chuckling too.

"PFF- Did you see their faces?! Hahahah!"

"Qu-quiet!" He pushes my face away.

"A-Alright then. Haha..."

Now that we've lost them, I wonder what time it is. We still need to keep walking in case they find us. Don't want to risk getting caught again. If we stop now... it'll be all for nothing.

"I think we should keep walking until we need to rest."

"Yep, I'm already tired as hell." Zack complains.

"Fine... We'll sleep now then. We move first thing in the morning."

We walk towards a tree with a huge stump and lay on the opposite sides of it.

How long can we keep going on like this?
