Each tree stands tall
If only each man and woman
Could do the same
Each tree waves in the wind
If only each man and woman
Could dance so freely
Each tree a different size, type, and shade
But each one is treated the same
If only each man and woman
Could be so moral
Each tree houses birds and bees
If only each man and woman
Could give that much hospitality
But each tree
No matter flawless as it may seem
Has little imperfections
Like a dent here and there
Or a lack of leaves or branches
Like each man and woman
A tree is not perfect

PoetryThis is a book of some poems I've written recently. Some are about me, some are about books, and some are about something else entirely. Either way, I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
