Aurora Bastianelli just moved to San Isidro due to her grandfather passing away and leaving the family fortune to her father. At the age of 3, her mother abandons her and her father claiming that she wasn't happy anymore. Her father was scared which...
Welcome to my new life I thought. My father and I just recently moved to San Isidro, Bueno Aires. Being a single father meant that if work moved so did he. I haven't adjusted to these new surroundings, but hopefully, I will soon. Let me introduce myself. I'm Aurora born and raised in Italy but moved to New York once my mother left my father and that was 14 years ago. I don't remember my mother much just glimpses. My father is the CEO of a marketing company and an architecture firm. My father started up his own firm but the marketing company was passed down to him by his father who I barely know. Not only had my grandfather left the company to my father but multiple homes around the world including the mansion here in San Isidro. Which is why we are now in Bueno Aires. My grandfather just recently passed, a week ago recently. Attending his funeral is not enough motive to stay infinitely in Bueno Aires but my father thinking that I would be a great new fresh start for me. My father being an architect and a CEO meant that he was never home not even during holidays. Which meant that any single thing I asked for I was granted. I'm not a spoiled brat but I do ask for expensive things just to test my father. No matter the price of the gift I was granted it. Not once did he get the hint. Anyhow today was Friday the 25 of January and it's my first day at San Marcos School. A private school near the house, but who starts school on a Friday. Luckily this private school did not require you to wear uniforms as long as you follow the dress code you are fine.

I got dressed and walked downstairs. "Ms. Aurora, would you like the driver to drive you this morning," Melina asked me. "No, thank you. Let David know that I will be driving myself. Oh, and please tell him I will be taking the Mercedes. Thank you." I said walking into the kitchen. "Here's your breakfast," Melina said setting a plate in front of me. "Thank you, I'll quickly eat this and head out." I said taking a bite of the crepe. "David said the car out front. Ready whenever you are." She informed. "Perfect." I said finishing up my breakfast. "Have a great day Aurora" She shouted as I left the kitchen. "Good morning Ms. Aurora," David said holding the door open for me. "Good morning." I said as I slipped in the red interior of the car. David shut the door as I was putting on my seat belt. Soon I started the car and drove down the long pathway that was the driveway. The school was about 20 minutes from my house and thankfully they started classes at 9:30 instead of 8 or 7:30. Anyways I pulled into the school parking lot and stationed the car. At the front gate, I was immediately greeted by 2 school officials. "You must be Aurora Bastianelli," One of them asked extending out her hand for me to grab. "Yes." I responded. "I am the headmistress of San Marcos School Valeria Lombardi." She said as I shook her hand. "I am Gloria Hernandez Deputy Headmistress and Welcome to San Marcos." She said shaking my hand. "Thank you," I said smiling. "Come let's get you settled in and give you a tour of the place." Headmistress Lombardi said.
After about 4 hours with them. They gave me a tour of the entire place including where all the bathrooms and vending machines are located. They showed me my locker, gave me my schedule, and all my books. Now they are walking me to my class which happens to be economics or business administration. I followed behind the headmistress when they opened the door to a teacher giving a lecture. As we entered the teacher asked, "Can someone tell me the difference between Microeconomics vs Macroeconomics?" The students fell silent. Either nobody knew the answer or they just didn't want to answer her. "Anyone?" She asked again. She looked around and again silence. "The difference between micro and macroeconomics is simple. Microeconomics is the study of economics at an individual, group or company level. Macroeconomics, on the other hand, is the study of a national economy as a whole. Microeconomics focuses on issues that affect individuals and companies."I said. At that moment every single student turned their eyes and looked at me. "Ahh you must be the new student." the teacher said. "Yes. I'm Aurora Bastianelli." I said looking around. "I'm Professor Lexington. You can have a seat next to Max, third row the last seat." She said. I sat down and continued listening to her lecture. Soon the bell rang and we were all dismissed. I looked at my watch and it was 2:30. Great time to get home. I wanted to stop by the vending machine to grab something to drink beheaded to my car. I stopped by the vending machine and grabbed a power drink as they called it here but back home we called it Powerade. It dispensed my drink and quickly I bent down to grab it. "Any one of you have the new girl in any of your classes." Someone behind me asked. "If her name is Aurora, yes. I have her for Business, she walked in like a total badass." Sounded like a guy said. At that moment I turned around and the group of friends seemed stunned at the sight of me. "Hi, you must be Aurora." A petite girl said. "Yes. Aurora Bastianelli at your service." I said. "Well, I'm Karol," Karol said. "That there is Ruggero. This is Michael. The ones next to you are Agustin and Eric. And my two best friends Valentina and Carolina." I said hi to all of them. "So you're new" Eric asked. "Yes, I just moved here a month ago." I replied. "How are you liking Argentina so far." Carolina asked. "It's beautiful that's for sure." I said. "Listen we are going to go to the movies tomorrow but before we are grabbing something to eat would you like to come" Valentina asked. "I'll love too. Thank you for inviting me. I haven't had much luck making friends here." I said. "People here aren't used to outsiders. I moved from Mexico and so did Michael and believe me nobody liked us." Karol said. "But hey you're fitting in now and by the looks of it you have amazing friends." I said truthfully. "Only because these friends come alongside the most popular guy. Which happens to be my boyfriend." Karol said. "Great, so all I have to do is find me a popular guy to fall deeply in love with me, sounds easy." I said chuckling. "Here's my number. Text me where you guys are meeting." I said. "Sounds good. We'll walk you to your car." Karol said. She was not kidding when she said that they would walk me to my car because they soon followed behind. My car was parked next to a Range Rover, Jeep, Tesla on the left-hand side and to the right was a Porsche, BMW, Audi and right behind me was an escalade parked vertically. "Well look at what we're parked around each other," Carolina said. I giggled a bit and walked to the door of my car. As soon as I unlocked it someone had grabbed the door handle and opened the door for me. I looked up and saw Agustin. "Thank you." I said a. Soon after I turned on the car and was on my way home. Ready to relax and wash this day away.
