"The whole world awaits us! Where are we going???" I asked excited! "You'll see..." he grabbed my hand and we walked out.
We drove in comfortable silence... well except for the 75 times I asked where we were going... i obviously didn't get a reply... we arrived at a small park that looked like a forest... beautiful nature was an understatement.
He opened the truck and took a duffle bag, took my hand on the other and we walked into the park... we walked pass all the large trees... it looked dark... on a normal day, I should be scared... scared of following this man into the woods... but no! My heart trusted him.
We reached a clearing that had the most beautiful pond in the middle... the Stars shinned so bright i could see a pin on the ground.
"Wow..." I couldn't help but freeze... he opened the duffle bag and started assembling what looked like a camera? I couldn't figure it out until he completed the task... it was a very large telescope... a freaking telescope
"Time to strike out something on your wishlist..." he said in such a dashing smile I just wanted to hug him!
"You remembered..." was all I could say... —— for the first time ever... I saw the stars in their full glory and they were the most beautiful things I've ever seen..

After hours and hours of laughter and naming stars... I couldn't help but say it.
"I love you..." I felt like a load was lifted from my chest... I have never been happier than I was today... It felt wrong to hide it from him, I knew I was only cheating myself... and he deserved way better... it is still a mystery to how he fell from a black common girl from Nigeria. Some times I wonder if he's color blind... or even just crazy!
He was frozen... he was looking at me like I just appeared out of thin air... I waited and waited to hear him say something... anything... maybe he didn't hear me.
"Say it again! Please say it again baby" he pleaded like he was craving for it.. and it made my heart shiver
"It'll cost you" I say mockingly... and he came closer... our toes touching... don't get me started on how close our face were.
"I'd give everything I have to hear you say it everyday!" He said with so much honesty I believed every word he said...
"I love you more than all the words in all the books in all the world." I said amusingly... "Heyyyy! That's my line" he pinched my nose... "It's my new favorite line!" I giggled. ——
"Thank you for the best birthday I have ever had..." he opened the door for me but stayed outside... it was 3a.m and he drove me home.
"Thank you for loving me back" he said boyishly! "Go get some sleep tesoro.. I'll see you later insha Allah."
"Goodnight..." I say ready to close the door but he frowned...
"You didn't say it..." I knew what he meant but I just rolled my eyes and slammed the door... I know I'm gonna pay for doing that tomorrow... oh well.. ———
Khalid's POV She slammed the door! I need to make her mine as soon as I can... so I can show her what I'm capable of when she gets this feisty!
I drove home in my Audi in the quiet night thinking of what's gonna happen in the coming hours... I need to meet with father before the party!
"About time you came back... I thought you were gonna sleep over..." Nabeel said with wiggling eyes... why he's still awake? Don't ask
"Remind me why you still stay in my house when you have a fucking villa just across the street?" I asked annoyingly... the fact that our houses were close was bad enough... but now he basically lives with me
"I don't like staying alone... and you are my best friend" he pouted as he continued to play MY video game.
"Then fucking get married or something..." I say as I sat next to him and picked the other control pad
"I think you are thinking of that more than I am..." he said nonchalantly
"That I am..." I honestly replied... now I regret it because he paused the game and turned towards me expecting more explanations. Oh shit.
"I wanna meet with father before the party... tell him how I feel about Amal... maybe he'll understand" i honestly hope he does.
"Do whatever you can but do not make the mistake of telling him you are turning down the princess for Amal.. maybe just tell him you don't love salma and you're not ready to settle... do not mention Amal... you know father more than anyone.." he explained and I understood wholeheartedly! My father might find it insulting.
"You're absolutely right... I need to be diplomatic to get what I want from him...." I agreed and Nabeel smiled
"You are a genius brother..." I praised him but instantly regretted it because now he's showing off! Dickhead
"So when are you gonna tell me about your feelings for my sister.." I asked amusingly as all color drained from his face... this is interesting "Uhm... how did you know...?"
"I had my suspicions but Amal confirmed it for me" and she is determined to see you end up together... but I didn't want to say that just yet...I don't mind either... I think my sister will be happy with him, and he will not be stupid enough to hurt her... because I will kill him.
"I dunno man... I don't know what I feel... I just know I can't stand the idea of her with another man.. I want to be the only one around her..." I said honestly with so much worry...
"What are you scared of?" I finally asked...
"That she only sees me as a brother..." he sighed in frustration.
"I don't know much... but I do know that she likes you more than a brother..." I confessed and glared at him before he could ask for further info
"Just give it a shot... you gat nothing to loose brother." Except your eyes n fingers when you try shit...
