"He's our ride." He shrugs.

"Where's your car?" I ask, trying to remain cool.

"Might I remind you, mum and dad dropped me off here, yesterday without any transport." He says as he greets Mr. Giraffe.

I sigh.

We make eye contact and nod at each other awkwardly.

Oh Lord, save me from this unfortunate situation.

As we got in the car and Ryder drove a little slower than usual, I tuned out their conversations about guy stuff I don't want to know.

My phone started ringing making me beam when I look at the screen.

"Hey Nick." I grin widely.

"Lili. What happened? I heard you got admitted into a hospital." He says.

"I'm fine. It was just a...little accident." I lie.

"Don't lie to me. I heard there was a shooting at a charity ball you went to." He says, sternly.

"Don't worry, I just got cut by some glass. I'm not even at the hospital anymore." I say feeling the gaze of two people on me but ignored them.

"You better not be lying to me. I can't believe I just found out. I should've known earlier-" I cut him off.

"It's okay. But, I need to...go." I say.

"Okay, I'll talk to you later. Bye Lils." He says.

"Bye, Nicky." I say, grinning.

"That's not my name!" He groans and hangs up.

I chuckle at him and look up to see two curious eyes on me.

"Eyes on the road, buddy." I mumble.

He lightly glares at me and I roll my eyes.

"Who is 'Nick'?" Kyle spat his name.

"Nick, is my hot bestfriend from England." I say.

Kyle narrows his eyes at me and the man that shall not be named, gripped the steering wheel tighter.

Jealous much?

"He's gay, by the way." I add.

The both of them let out a sigh of relief.

I roll my eyes at their actions.

I was getting bored so I decided to sleep.

"Lili! Help me! I'm drowning!" I heard Kyle shout while shaking me, disturbing my slumber.

"Good for you." I mumble. "Wait, what?!" I jolt awake.

Kyle was laughing his ass off and from the corner of my eye, I could see Ryder crack a smile.

Aww, my heart!

"Not funny." I glare at Kyle.

I got out of the car and as soon as I was on my two feet, all I could see were black dots, my head throbbed and I felt my body getting heavier.

I stumbled lightly before recovering my eyesight but my head still throbbed like a bitch.

Kyle rushed to my side.

"Shit, are you okay?" He asks, worriedly.

I nod. "I just got blinded by the light a little."

"You sure?" He asks.

"Mhm." I nod again, wincing a little when it hurt my head even more.

I felt Ryder looking at me and I glanced at him.

His gritted his jaw and he was clenching his fists.

What the hell did I do, this time?

Oh, never mind. I know.

I walked ahead of them into the house door and straight to my room.

I slowly lay on my bed, missing its comfy-ness. Yes, it's a word. In my dictionary.

After a while, my door opened revealing Ryder looking angry.

"Hey." I mumble laying in my bed, looking at the ceiling.

He closes the door and locks it before leaning on it.

"We made a deal." He said, through gritted teeth.

"I know that." I mumble.

"So, why are you still not eating? And how did the doctor not know you were malnourished?" He asks.

"Let's just say, I am really good at puppy dog eyes." I say.

He glares at me.

"Liana." He says in a warning tone.

"Are you still smoking?" I ask.

No answer.

"See?" I retort.

"You almost fainted just now." He points out.

I scoff.

"Nonsense." I say.

"I thought you were supposed to be injected with a tube because you couldn't eat when your wound was still new." He narrows his eyes at me.

I shrugged.

"I only let it in for a minute before pulling it out and draining it in the sink. Do you have any idea how much cal- never mind." I say.

Why am I telling him all this?

"If you don't stick to the deal, I'll tell Kyle." He says.

"You wouldn't." I say, sitting up.

"Oh, yes I would." He says as he walks closer.

I narrow my eyes at him.

"You wouldn't." I say again now only inches away from his face.

His hands were beside my thighs.

"But I would." He whispers.

Shit.
