A clanking woke Becky from her silent state. She stood up and ran for the door, only to find a woman leaving. A boy seemed to stand away from the woman, and stood there even a she left. Becky saw the silver blond hair and the way he held himself, she could recognize him anywhere.

"Draco!" She called desperately, tears showing through her voice. Draco looked at her with curiosity, not knowing who she was from far away. He stepped closer, then looked around. After deciding no one was watching him, he hurried down the stairs and then knew who the girl was.

"Rebecca?" He asked sadly, looking over the sad state she was in.

"Draco, you have to help me." She whispered. Becky and Draco were friends, not the closest of friends but friends nevertheless. They had even both had a secret crush on each other they told no one, for they thought it was a ridiculous thing to have feelings over. But as Draco saw her, tears in her eyes and dirt on her clothes, he felt that feeling again. That blissful feeling that came from someone who was happy and knew who she was and where she belonged, but that didn't look like the Becky her saw before him. The Becky he saw before him was desperate and drained, nothing like he had ever imagined on the girl.

"I... I don't know how to h-help you." Draco stammered, watching the fearful tears fall down her cheeks. He couldn't take it. Someone so sweet and pure and nice didn't deserve this, she didn't deserve this.

"Please Draco. Find a way." She whispered, her voice sounding like a far off yell, desperate for help. Like her mind was shutting her out, like she was going insane.

He touched her hand with his own, his mind forming the words and then him saying them, "I will." She gave a failed attempt at a smile and he smiled back, rubbing his finger over the small ring she wore. He turned away, hoping he could fulfill the promise he had just made to a girl he had loved once before, and most likely still loved now. He walked forward with purpose as Becky slid to the floor. She was trapped in a Death Eater cell, and if Draco didn't do something soon she would be killed, maybe used for bait to get Harry first.

Draco looked around the corner, wondering where the keys to Becky's cell were, as if he didn't know. They were wrapped around Bellatrix's neck, on a long chain with all of the other keys. He would have to get her to take it off, or steal it when she handed it off to Peter. This wasn't going to be an easy task, but something he felt he had to do. This was Rebecca Jane Harring, for Merlin's sake!

He scurried to the dining room where most of the Death Eaters where gathered, sitting in the seat silently by my parents which just happened to be across from Bellatrix. He sat silently hoping no one would talk to him. Even if he was a Death Eater, he still couldn't handle being here very long and staying sane. These people were insane and obsessed with killing, which seemed to be rubbing off on him slowly. He hoped a memory would help keep his mind off it, but the only one he could think of was when he first met Becky.

Draco laughed at a mean joke made by Goyle while walking down the hallway and spotting a Weasley, who the joke was aimed at. He never felt the wiser that he was the one who was evil, he was mean. They walked outside during the free period that they had luckily at that time. They headed towards the lake while Crab and Goyle cast a few jinx on some unsuspecting first years. But Draco's eyes had been fixed somewhere else. On the head of long light brown hair bent over a book. He cocked his head, wondering if he had ever seen the girl before. The girl looked up and Draco turned away quickly, blushing because she had caught him staring. He watched Crab and Goyle cast a few more jinxes before he felt a light tap on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry." A soft, sweet voice said. Draco turned back around and saw the very girl he had been looking at there before him. She seemed to blush when he looked at her, with a soft smile on her perfectly toned face. She looked like an angel, just by the way the sun hit her face. "I couldn't help but notice you looking at me, and I was wondering if there was anything I could do for you." She said shyly, looking up into his eyes. Her eyes were a beautiful light brown, almost like everything about her was perfect.

"Actually, what's your name?" Draco asked, astounded by his own words.

"Rebecca."

Draco pictured the way he had first saw her in his mind, then thought about how she looked now. It was a cold, dark place down there, and she was trapped down there. Nice, sweet, angelic Becky was trapped in a place where so many had been killed. It wasn't fair, it couldn't be fair. But as he thought of Becky, he couldn't help but smile, no matter how cold and evil this place was.

"Draco." His father hissed, causing Draco to look up quickly. The group had been dismissed, and Snape was staring at him strangely. He stood quickly, seeing Bellatrix off to the side talking to Peter. Now's the time, he thought. Walking behind his father, he stopped and made his way to the stairwell to the dungeon. He stood silently at a corner, waiting for the clacking of Peter's shifts. He couldn't believe what he was doing, what he was risking. He lifted the sleeve on his left arm, showing the Dark Mark to himself, was he really willing to risk it for the girl down the stairs and in that cold cell? The girl that was his first real crush? His first love? This would be one of the hardest decisions he would have to make, and he couldn't take very long. Peter approached with his weird way, the keys clinking in his hand. Draco pulled out his wand, now or never.

"Petrificus Totalus." He said reproachfully. Peter froze, then Draco rushed forward to keep him from falling. He set the man on the floor off to the side, where no one would find him for awhile. He took the keys out of his cold fingers, they cracked in reply. "Obliviate." He said, watching the memory be wiped from Peter's eyes. Draco ran down the stairs and to the cell door. He unlocked it and opened it quickly. Becky stood upright, not believing what her eyes saw.

"Draco." She whispered, tears forming in her eyes again. He nodded, not being able to keep from crying himself. She ran forward and into the outstretched arms of the young man before her. He held her close, his face buried in her messy brown hair. He could feel her chest heave with tears of relief; she might have a chance now. "Thank you."

"We have to get out of here." Was his only reply. She nodded, taking his hand. "Apparate." They seemed like they were squashed though a tube and collapsed to the ground in front of the Hogwarts gates.

"Draco." Becky said, crawling up to look at him. He was quite pale and seemed to be unconscious. "Draco!" She called again. No reply, not even a blink. "Expecto Patronum!" She cast with his wand and the dog ran through the gates and up to the castle, where it disappeared inside. She laid her head down on his chest and could feel his heart beat, and his chest moving up and down in rhythm.

"Becky!" She heard a voice yell, and saw three people running down the stairs and towards her.

"Harry, Ron, Hermione!" She yelled, standing and pushing against the gates. They all hugged her through the gates and then their eyes fell to the unconscious Malfoy on the ground. "Please, we have to help him."

"Why would we help him?" Harry spat.

"He saved me Harry!" Becky cried earnestly. "He broke me out of his own mansion and brought me here! I could be dead right now if it wasn't for him!" Hermione looked at the two boys, knowing how much they hated Malfoy.

"Alright." Harry sighed, opening the gates and helping Becky stand him up. They all pretty much carried him to the infirmary, where most of the Order of the Phoenix sat. They gave the group a few dirty looks as they carried Draco inside.

"Becky!" Tonks said, and hugged her after they had put Draco down. "You look horrible!" She cried, happy tears in her eyes as she looked me over. Becky and Tonks where very close, which surprised most people.

"What is he doing here?" Remus asked, pointing to Draco.

"Draco saved me. He broke me out of his own mansion. We have to protect him; he's in danger for saving me." Becky whispered, earning a few surprised glares. "He may not have been very trustworthy in the past, but he did save me. Now he's hurt and their bound to come after him. Look." She lifted his left sleeve, revealing the Dark Mark. A few pulled in a quick breath through their teeth just by seeing it. "He has the Dark Mark. He betrayed Voldemort just to help me!" Her voice growing in volume as she spoke.

"Calm down Becky!" Tonks said strangely, then looked at the rest of the group. "We'll help him. He'll be safe at Grimmauld Place, you'll have to stay with him though." I nodded. I was going to help Draco for helping me, no doubt about it.
