"I think it's time to end this. I have nothing but love for you, Chan, but what we both need is to focus on ourselves.."

- he would let out a deep sigh and rub the back of his neck

- his eyes would be glazed over with tears, but he wouldn't actually cry

- would take your hand one last time

- "I understand, but I hope you can still be in my life as a friend, y/n. Not many people understand me like you do, and I value your presence"

- you would definitely still be close friends, but your past romantic relationship is like a forbidden subject; neither of you will ever bring it up

"I really do love you as a person, Minho, but I don't think dating is doing us any good. We might be better off if we ended things.."

- his eyes would glaze over but he'd still force a smile for you

- slightly shaky voice, but would still try to lighten the mood

- "Hey, no hard feelings. I understand. However, you better still visit Sooni, Doongi and Dori. They like you a lot, for some reason"

- a tear would run down his face immediately

- you would pull him into a hug; he would bury his face in your shoulder and cry

- you'd probably cry too because it hurts to see hyunjin this upset

- "I just love you so much, y/n.."

- after a while he would calm down, and then he would leave without asking for an explanation

- I don't think you'd talk after you broke up since it's hard for hyunjin to face you without feeling uneasy

"I love you, Jisung, you know I do, but I think we should go back to being just friends. It was better that way.."

- he would look off to the side and mess with his hair while it sunk in

- his eyes might get a bit glassy, but he wouldn't cry

- this boy would definitely want a hug

- "I agree. I love you, but this whole 'dating' thing isn't what's best for us. I think we're just meant to be the closest of friends."

- I feel like he's the type to put friendship first, so you'd still be super close and it wouldn't be awkward

"Lix, I love you, but I want to be just friends again. Our relationship just doesn't feel right.."

- his eyes would fill with tears

- he would openly cry, and you would rub his arm to try to comfort him

- "I don't want to break up, y/n"

- you would have to explain that your relationship just isn't working out, and he would have a really hard time accepting it

- he might ignore you and block your number/social media accounts after you break up with him

"Listen, Seungmin. You're such a great person, but something has just seemed off these past few months. I think we should break up.."

- he would reach for your hand and squeeze it

- he's sad that you want to break up, but he knows how painful it is to break up with someone, so he wants to comfort you too

- he might shed a tear or two, but he is focused on making the conversation as painless as possible

- "I know saying that was hard, but I understand. Don't feel bad."

- he would definitely want to remain friends and would work hard to ensure that you don't lose contact

Jeongin ///

"Innie, I really do like you a lot, but I don't think our relationship is working. I want us to be friends again, nothing more.."

- his big eyes fill with tears, but he still tries to smile

- seeing him on the verge of crying breaks your heart, so when you start crying too, jeongin would pull you into a super comforting hug

- "As much as I hate to admit it, you're right. We were better off as friends. You did the right thing by saying you want to end this."

- you would probably still be good friends, but you wouldn't be nearly as close as you were before you started dating
