Waking up to have a nice smell of Meadow city air, a developed part in Africa. Steve was disturbed by his alarm reading out 8:30am even echoing through his dream , he had a stressful day the day before. He got up getting prepared for his usual, he lost his parents in an unexplainable car accident at lake Chimmy road. His father was an Archeologist while his mother was a Scientist a Biochemist to be precise.
He chose his father's way and improved it a little by his mother's way, he lives on the money earned by selling his expensive discoveries to museums because his family members has refused to help him.
He packed all his equipments in a modern white metal case and dropped it in his bag, Steve was about locking his apartment's door when his phone rang, ”Hey, where are you and why are you always late?!, ” a deep voice said and hung up. ”Don't be upset Tony” Steve thought to himself, Tony is a childhood friend and a copartner to Steve, they both go on daily research together.
Steve arrived at a warehouse which he and his team do use has a research base after collecting all items. He pushed open a zinc like door and entered into the warehouse, the ware hi house has a lot of artifacts and collection of ages with chairs and tables that makes it look like a workshop. He then moved swiftly towards a large mirror on the wall and said something which seems like he was talking to his reflection. ”Great Sage travels within”. He adjusted his dress and pulled the bag on his back appropriately, a short crackling sound was heard beneath his feet.
The square wood tile that he was standing on moved downward like the floor was opening , in a flash he reached the bottom point. ”Welcome Steve Merlin, ” a faint girlish robotic voice welcomed him through tiny speakers at a large metallic door which looks like an entrance made from Titanium. ”Good day Sabrina, ” he replied. Sabrina is an Artificial intelligence that's runs Steve's base, he stretched out his palm and placed it on the wall close to the door, a small screen displaying his picture and name confirmed his ID. The heavy armored door opened and he entered a blue lighted inner chamber. “uh mm....... guys I'm so sorry” he said when he saw the angry facial expression on his team. ”You should have slept all day, ” a thin voice said from behind a work table holding a small disposable transparent plastic bag, ”Don't stand there all day we have a lot to do” another voice said in a soft tone now, on looking back it was Alice.
Tony, Alice and Malia have been Steve's work partner for 3 years, they built the research base from the money earned by selling a large tone of diamond found during their research at Slad cave by the East coast. ”Always coming late bro, ” Tony added. They all moved out of the base along with their equipments to Chimmy cave where many had reported a signal loss in the region. Steve despised this idea because his parent died by the road to the cave but he doesn't want to let his team down, they got there and prepared all their gadgets in the cave and started different analysis.
”There's truly no signal transmission in this cave” Tony confirmed while trying to dial a number. Don't worry all our gadgets will work here expect from our mobile phones, I've amplified the radio waves to counter whatever is generating EMP here”, Malia replied with a grin, Malia is a Physicist. ”Steve and I will go and search the surrounding and if we find anything we will let you know” Tony said while leaving with Steve, they packed there gadgets and moved out.
Steve came back to the cave with Tony, with a tired expression on his face he said ”we found nothing”.
”Maybe you weren't searching the right place” a voice said from behind. Steve pointed a stunt gun at the shadow emerging. ”Calm down guy,” the voice repeated ” just trying to help".
”OMG it's Jack” Alice yelled out and everyone joined her in giving Jack a huge hug. Jack, Alice and Malia knew each other from high school and Tony knew him through Malia except from Steve.
