IDOL STAR (Hangul: 아이돌 스타) is a South Korean, co-ed survival show created by Mnet. This show focuses on 58 trainees, 29 females and 29 males, and gives the platform to perform and show their talents. The purpose of it is to debut 8 female trainees and 8 male trainees in a girl group and a boy group, and will promote for 2 years under CJ E&M.
