~RING~

I got up, got my stuff and went out. I started typing in the number I was given.

'Um hello. Someone gave me your number. Who are you?'

I put the phone away in my pocket for the rest of the day. I only checked it to see what time it was. I didn't pay attention whether I had a text or not.

I finally checked the text though when I was walking to my college like school class thing.((we will call it SoT for School of Technology, idk if any of you have something like that but I do sorry)).

'Hey (y/n) you can just call me John' was the text from earlier. Wait. How did he know my name?! I responded,

'How do you know my name?!'

'We go to the same school' he responded quickly. A fast texter, nice.

And for the rest of the day me and John texted. We talked about our likes, hobbies, etc. He was great. I don't want to say that I easily fall in love but I do. So, let's just say, I may have a thing for John.

Next day and I was really happy. I sat down at my usual place and Dave sat next to me. Not today Dave, I'm so happy that nothing you do will annoy me today!

I texted John, wondering if he would answer.

'Hi John .w.'

I heard a phone go off. I checked mine and nothing new. I saw Dave taking out his phone and typing. Nice coincidence. A second later I got a text back.

'Hey how are you'

'Im good, except Dave is here. I don't want him sitting next to me'

I heard Daves phone go off again. Wow. Whoever he is texting must be texting the same time I am. Oh well, fast texter probably, I'm not gonna over think it.

'Oh sorry but im gonna play good cop and say why dont you talk to him maybe hes a douchebag for a reason idk just a thought'

Surprisingly I never thought of that. Maybe there was a good reason I hated him. And, I guess it wouldn't kill me to talk to someone new.

I sighed and said "hi Dave."

"Hey," he smiled.

"My friend told me I should talk to you." I said a bit coldly.

"And why is that?" He asked.

"Cause you may not as big of a douche as I thought. Or maybe you're a bigger one I don't know."

He chuckled and said, "well that's great. At least someone supports me."

"His name is John. You should meet him sometime." I said with a small smile, thinking about him, "he seems really cool. I wanna meet him in real life. I kinda like him. As more than a friend."

"His name is John. You should meet him sometime. He seems really cool. I wanna meet him in real life. I kinda like him. As more than a friend."

I hid back a huge smile. She seems so happy, which makes me happy. The only thing that kinda hurt is the lie that John is. John isn't even real. He's a old friend of mine that is a really big nerd and I just used his name cause I couldn't think of anything else. Technically, I'm John. (Y/n) sees John, but, it's really me. It hurts knowing she kinda doesn't like me, but it felt great knowing she kinda does. Should I tell her? Would she believe me? Would she still like me? I covered my hands in face and sighed.

"What's wrong?" Asked (y/n).

"Nothing. Just, a problem I got myself into."

"Wouldn't be the first time," she replied with a smile.

"Heh, yeah. But, it's really important to me and I just don't what I should do."

"Well what's the situation?"

"This will sound really cheesy, but, it's about a girl that I like."

"Holy shit, you like a girl? Do you mean like, she likes you and you're a player or you like her and actually wanna have a real relationship."

"I wanna have a real relationship."

"Oh wow. Ok, go on."

"Well, I posed as another dude just so she could basically like him or me for that matter. But she doesn't know it's me. But she doesn't like the real me."

"Well, I think you should just tell her. The truth hurts but girls get over it. If it's a lie you tell them than it hurts like a bitch. I suggest tell her as soon as possible so you won't seem like a mega douche, just a small one."

"Ok, thank you," I smiled. Little did she know she just gave me instructions on what I should do with 'John' and her.
