Chapter 12 (Part II)

Start from the beginning

Elton wanted to be Peach, and Colby and Jay wanted to be Yoshi. Colby told Jay he could be Donkey Kong, which he took offense to. Brennen said he was removing himself from the skit.

Colby put on the Yoshi costume and did a terrible impression. Brennen did a Mario impression and Jay did a great Yoshi impression. The guys said that Colby should give up Yoshi. But of course, he wouldn't. Jay chose to be Luigi, and I decided to be Toad. I refused to do Toad's voice as I found it kind of disturbing and weird.

Elton made it into a competition and the loser would have to wear their costume for the rest of the night.

We headed towards the karts and climbed in. Elton told us to give menacing looks and we did so. I chose to add a smirk to mine and Elton said, "Well, now we know that Juliet could be a serial killer."

Colby laughed and said, "Nah, she's too sweet to be a serial killer."

"I don't know, Colby. She can be pretty scary. I mean, look at her glare. Plus the fact that she added a smirk that makes her look like she could be the fucking Joker."

We started our karts and the race started. As expected, there was a lot of yelling, screaming, and attempting to pass each other.

It honestly baffled my mind that we were able to do this. We were all acting like idiots, and it was great. I was constantly worried that we would get hit by the cars we were passing, but knew we wouldn't likely, as we were on a track.

Along the line, we decided to take a break. Elton had apparently been high-fiving people while driving. We passed a cop who was holding a tape measure. Jay forgot they used metrics here, which caused me to laugh.

We resumed driving and ran a red. Normally, we'd get in trouble, but it was legal with this. Elton pointed up at a sign telling us that we were going onto the Rainbow Bridge. I periodically looked at my surroundings, but kept my eyes on the road.

Colby's kart wouldn't start and he eventually got it started, but then drove one of his tires on mine and Brennen's, as Brennen and I were next to each other. I winced as I felt a sharp pain in my forearm.

I checked as best I could and saw a white scrape, but no blood. Colby started explaining what had happened and we all figured this wouldn't be legal after we finished. Elton won, Colby got second, Jay got third, I got fourth, and Elton lost. That meant he had to buy his costume. Instead of being Uncle Elton, he would become Princess Uncle Elton. He gave the camera an innocent derpy look and smiled.

While he went to purchase his costume, Colby grabbed my arm and looked at it. "That's a long scratch. What happened?"

"The edge of your kart scraped my arm. Is it still just the white line?"

He nodded. "Yeah. I'm sorry, Jules. I didn't mean to hurt you."

"No, it's okay. I know you didn't mean to do that."

Jay glanced at us and said, "You guys are cute."

We made our way back to the hotel and hung around for a couple of hours. Elton couldn't find his Peach crown and was getting annoyed. I saw it on Jay's head and took it and put it on my own. Elton attempted to grab his crown off my head and I darted to the other side of the room. "Hey, Elty! I'm taking back the crown. I'm all dressed up and naked. I see what's mine and take it. Finders keepers, losers weepers!"

Colby grabbed me by my waist and Elton took the crown off. "Thanks."

As we were walking to the door, Elton said, "Oh, this is about to be a dumbass night. Juliet already started it."

We piled into the elevator and left the hotel. Brennen called a cab and Elton took some pictures. Our train arrived and we all boarded.

The boys decided to do more pull-ups while Colby attached himself to them as a koala. Brennen failed and Elton managed to do one, and they went sexual. Colby noticed me staring and asked, "Wanna koala?"
