The night was cold and misty. A woman carrying her 6 years old son was running through the dark streets. Her white long gown was teared and covered in dirty puddle water. Mud and water was running up her bruised cold legs. Her bare feet, tattered with cuts and sores. Tears falling down from her crystal blue eyes. The little boy's crystal eyes doing the same but also crying about his bruised left eye.

The woman had been running for hours. Adrenaline and fear keeping her going. Her son had now passed out due to exhaustion and she was about to do the same in 3, 2... 1.

The woman's head dropped, and her body went limb. Now she laid there in the middle of the pathway in this town she had just ran to from the village over.

Kylie's Pov~

Beep! Beep! Beep! I opened my eyes and turned off my alarm clock. I sat up and got out of my bed. My room was small and boring. I had wooden floor boards and a dirty creamy sort of white wallpaper.

I walked over to my dresser and put on my usual outfit: a white long sleeved top with small black stripes and a black pair of skinny ripped jeans. I walked into my bathroom and brushed my teeth and brushed my blue hair that went just below my shoulders.

I walked out of my bathroom and saw my mum collapsed on the sofa. She had been working all night and was working 2 all-nighters before that. I made her some coffee and set it on the coffee table next to the sofa. I suddenly realised that the school bus would be arriving any time soon so I threw on my red taylor high converse and my blue backpack and ran out of my apartment. I got into the elevator and went down to ground floor. Living on the 4th floor wasn't very easy is emergencies ☹

I ran out of the apartment block and was met by my best friend who lived in the basement of the apartments.

"Yo, Kylie!" He shouted from the bus stop. "Get over here I can see the bus coming!"

"Jesus Jake! Tell him to wait!" I shouted back. I could see him talking to the bus driver. I managed to make it and I walked to the back of the bus. I saw where Jake was sitting and went to sit next to him. He scooped over so I could sit by the widow. We sat there sharing headphones listening to Slipknot for most of the journey until we heard someone call my name. I turned to see the school bully had moved to sit just behind us.

"I wonder who let a little queer onto this bus." He said. I could see anger growing quickly onto Jake's face. I turned round and gave him the middle finger.

"Hah! That all you got, really?!" He laughed which earned himself and punch from me. He got angry and pulled my hair. I yelped which made Jake snap. He turned and grabbed Mason by the hair and smashed his face into the back of his seat. Which was hard plastic. Mason now had a bloody nose and started cursing to Jake. He then threw a few punches and Jake.

Normally I would've tried to intervene, but Jake was 6,1 and Mason was 5,11. Either way I wasn't a match for wither of them. Sure I can throw a few punches and kicks but truth be told... I'm short AF. I'M 5,5! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO INTERVENE THAT!!!???
