Redemption: Chapter 2

~DeShawn P.O.V.~

Nitty let me inside the house early in the morning and I jogged up the stairs, going into Lolo's room. I closed the door behind me and pulled off my shoes before pulling back the covers a little and slipping under the blankets.

She stirred around and I thought she was gonna wake up but she went right back to sleep, without noticing me and I let out a small chuckle. She was always a heavy sleeper and that made things like this too easy.

"Oh my God!" Lolo screamed waking me up abruptly. "Shawny! What are you doing here?!" She clung her arms around my neck and held me so tight. All I could do was laugh and hold her just as tight too.

"Wanted to spend the night with my Fiancé, why else?"

"But I look hideous right now! Stay here, I need to go make myself look pretty!" She said pulling out of my arms and jumping off the bed, running out of her room before I could even get my word in.

While she was in her bathroom, I went to the downstairs bathroom just to clean myself up a little bit. Nitty was still asleep so I took myself back up to Lolo's room and crawled back into her bed. I took a look at her room and smiled at all the pictures of us she had pinned on her wall overlooking her desk.

Her door opened and she came walking in with a big smile on her face.

"You looked beautiful before you left." I said pulling her down on me, so she was straddling me. My hands on her hips and I was staring up at her bright blue eyes.

"Thank you but I looked just terrible. My hair was everywhere, those little eye crust things in my eyes-"

"You still were flawless. I ain't with you just 'cause of your looks you know?" Her cheeks obtaining that pink hue and I dropped my hands from her waist so her fingers could intwerwine with mine.

"Aweeee, you're so perfect, Shawny." I looked down at her hand and was surprised I didn't see the ring there.

"Nah I ain't perfect, but where's that ring?"

"I never sleep with it on. I'm scared it might slip off when I toss and turn. It's right here." She let go of my hands and reached over to her nightstand, pulling out the original ring box and putting the ring back on. "See?"

"Do we need to get it adjusted?"

"I'd like to. It's already tight but I'm scared it still just might wiggle off."

"We'll take it today. Guess what I want us to do today as well?" I saw that little spark in her eyes.

"Are we going to see the Dolphins today?! I hope so because they were so cute!"

"Nah, we're leaving the dolphins alone. I want us to start looking into our wedding." I just want us married already. 5 years we've been together and I know neither of us is going anywhere without the other.

"Really?" I nodded. "Let's start! I need Brie! She's my maid of honor and I need to go dress shopping first!" Her excitement was always so cute, the littlest things get her so hype and that's what I love about her. She's just this happy person who doesn't let anything bring her down.

"Really, you do what you gotta do with Brie. I'ma go looking for a church if you're going dress shopping today." First of her priorities is that dress.

"This is so exciting. I can't wait till we're married and living together in our own house-" I just pulled her down for a kiss. I've been away for a while and needed this.
