Sam asked if there was anything that wanted to talk, and I started hearing footsteps.
About an hour later, Corey decided he wanted to play with the Ouija board, which was really weird. I asked if there were any spirits here, and the planchet moved to yes.
It's always Corey. He was smiling that a spirit was here. He heard a spirit say, "Yeah."
Sam asked if that was the spirit, and once again, the planchet went to yes.
Corey asked if the spirit was female and I told the spirit to make a noise if it was with us.
Corey then decided he didn't want to play and Elton reminded us that we weren't supposed to take our fingers off.
Sam kept hearing footsteps and Elton made a dead pun. Corey said he wanted to play and after he and Amanda saw something, he said he didn't want to play.
Corey walked away from the board and we all followed. Suddenly, it felt hard to breathe, and Corey confirmed it.
I wanted to end the session, but Amanda said she wanted to know what we were communicating with.
On the opposite end, we kept hearing things. By now, we were certain something was with us. I asked if we should check, and Amanda laughed nervously.
Elton started playing, and we had to circle the board again. Elton had the honors, and asked if the person present with us committed suicide here two months ago, which shocked Sam especially.
We decided to put the board away and got ready to put out the sleeping bags. Sam heard what sounded like a piano at the top of the bridge. Corey and I heard something different in the foresty area.
Elton thought a demon stabbed us with their fingernails. Corey saw a shadow pass in a blocked off area and ran to the fence to check it out.
I noticed the planchet moving and looked at the letters it was spelling. J-U-L-E-S. "What the fuck? Elton, it literally just spelled out my nickname for Juliet."
Elton turned to me and said, "Don't fuck with me, Colby."
"I'm not! Look, I've got to--K-I-L-L. I have to make sure she's okay!"
I walked away from the group to FaceTime Jules. I figured she'd probably be up, as she doesn't go to sleep until about 1:30 or 2 on a normal night.
Sure enough, she answered. She looked like she was eating something. When she swallowed, she said, "Well, this is unexpected. How's the video going?"
"Are you okay?"
She frowned. "I'm fine. What's wrong?"
"Without any of us touching the Ouija board, it spelled out my nickname for you and kill."
Jules sighed. "So a demon possibly wants to kill me. Well, thank you guys so much for that!"
I winced. "Sorry. Last time we were here, it said it wanted to kill someone and now, I guess it's saying you. Just, please text me every so often letting me know you're okay."
"Colby, you know I have to sleep, right?"
"I know. Just...just every so often, please?"
"Okay. And I'll text you when I'm going to sleep so you don't freak out. Look, I gotta go. Dr. Doofenshmirtz is about to tell Perry his plan. Stay safe, okay? And try to get some sleep."
She hung up and I walked back over to the group. "She's okay. She's a little pissed that a demon wants to kill her, but she's okay."
We set up the sleeping bags and I leaned against a wall. Corey was sitting on the blanket holding the flashlight in front of him.
Along the line, he fell asleep, and I gave in awhile later.
Sam's voice woke me up, and I saw numerous texts from Jules telling me that she was okay and about three, I got a message from her telling me goodnight and to be safe.
We packed up everything and left. I noticed an animal behind us and informed them.
We'd successfully done an overnight video. Elton wanted to travel and find more scary places. He suggested the Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Kentucky; apparently the most haunted place.
We decided to go to McDonald's for breakfast. 100,000 likes for the scariest place in California, and 250,000 likes for Waverly Hills Sanitorium. Maybe I could persuade Jules to join.
After McDonald's breakfast, we headed back to the house, and I wanted to sleep, but I had a shit ton of editing to do, and I wanted to talk to Jules. Luckily, she was up. Insomnia, probably.
Her hair was a mess and one of her sweats leg was up. She was drinking a Dunkin' coffee, which meant she'd persuaded someone to do a run for her. She immediately put her coffee down and threw her arms around me. "Thank goodness you're okay!"
"Of course I am. Hey, can I ask you something?"
"Course. What's up?"
"After last night, I couldn't help but worry about you all night. I was scared something would happen to you after that whole Ouija board thing."
"Are you ever going to stop playing with that board?"
I laughed. "Probably not. But anyway, I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me."
"Out like a date or out like dating you?"
I took a deep breath and let it out. "Juliet, would you like to be my girlfriend?"
She smiled. "Yes, I would."
I kissed her, and she returned it before I said, "Well, now that you said yes, which I'm thankful for, I'm tired, and I have a ton of editing to do."
[Mind you, Juliet and Colby have been friends for about four months (March to July). Also, there will be a part 2. I had to split this up, as altogether, it was over 5,000 words!]
