Expressions are hidden
By smiles that only mask
What's truly hidden inside of you,
But no one wants to ask.

Afraid of rejection, hurt, and struggles,
You try to hide your face.
People ask what's wrong with you,
But their questions go to waste.
-----
You cannot show your tearstained face,
If you want to keep a secret.
There's no one even close to you
That you'd trust enough to keep it.
-----
So people normally just leave you be
To your smiles and your lies.
But of course they'll show up
Just to say Goodbye.
