Date Night

Evie looked at Mal before opening the door. Carlos and Jay ran in. 

"There's something we need to talk to you about." Carlos told her out of breath.

"Carlos." Jay whispered looking at Mal.

"What?" Carlos asked and looked over at Mal. "I knew it!"

"Wait what's going on?" Evie joined in.

"Evie do you know who this is?!" Carlos wondered freaking out.

"Yeah. It's Mal. We've talked." Evie replied.

"We all thought she was dead, but she's been living here!" Carlos announced.

"Yeah and you can't tell anyone the truth. They'll send me back if they find out." Mal explained to them.

"Seriously? No one else knows?" Carlos asked.

"Well two others girls know, but one of them is my friend now I guess. And the other is Ben's best friend, who likes Ben. So she might tell him." Mal explained.

"We gotta keep her from telling him." Evie states.

"Yes. Thank you." Mal replied.

"Come on." Evie pulled Mal out.

"Where are we going?" Mal asked as Evie was pulling her.

"We're going to keep her away from Ben. Then you can talk to him." Evie told Mal.

"Evie. What am I even suppose to say to Ben?" Mal questioned.

"You tell him you're sorry, then ask to go out and talk to it." Evie said.

"You think it'll work?" Mal wondered.

"Trust me. I know." Evie replied. "Now go talk to him. He's over there."

Evie pushed Mal towards Ben.

"Hey Ben." Mal said shyly.

"Oh hey Mal." Ben smiled slightly.

"Look Ben I wanted to apologize for the other day. I got too upset about something small. I'm really sorry." Mal was saying.

"Thank you, but you're right. You're allowed to dress anyway you want. You shouldn't dress how you think I would like. You're your own person." Ben told her.

"Yeah, but Ben I was wondering if you would want to do something tonight and we can talk about what happened." Mal suggested.

"Oh I'm really sorry Mal, but I have plans with Rose tonight. After the whole breakup me and Rose have been able to catch up more." Ben explained.

"Oh." Mal nodded.

"Yeah. So I'll see you later." Ben smiled before leaving.

"Yeah bye." Mal mumbled as he turned away.

Mal watched Rose walk up to Ben and Ben wrap an arm around her shoulders.

"So how'd it go?" Evie walked up asking.

"He has plans with Rose tonight." Mal said.

"Rose? Whose Rose?" Evie was questioning.

"His best friend. Her." Mal answered pointing at Ben and Rose.

"That's his best friend?" Evie asked shocked.

Mal just nodded, then turned around.

"Hey where are you going?" Evie ran up.

"I'm going back to the dorm. Ben has obviously moved on and I need to too." Mal stated.

"Wait I have an idea." Evie smirked.

"You sure this will work?" Mal wondered as her and Evie were standing outside of the dorm building.

"Yeah. Ben will see you two together and be jealous." Evie replied.

"You ready to go?" Jay walked up to them.

"Wow Jay you look great." Mal complimented Jay.

"Same to you." Jay responded. "You ready?"

"Yeah let's do this." Mal nodded with a smile.

They walked into the restaurant Ben and Rose were in. They sat across the restaurant where Ben could see them.

"Is that Mal with the new kid, Jay?" Ben asked.

"What?" Rose replied looking back. "Probably. Whatever. Who cares?" 

Ben looked away and back at Rose. "So what were you saying?"

Rose started talking again, but Ben looked back at Mal and Jay.

"Ben are you even listening?" Rose asked waving her hand in his face.

"What? Oh yeah I am." Ben responded.

"Then what was I saying?" Rose questioned.

"Something about your house." Ben said not paying attention again.

"Ben. Ben. Ben!" Rose yelled and everyone looked over.

"What?" Ben looked at her.

"What is going on with you?" Rose wondered.

"It's Mal and that guy, Jay. It's weird seeing her with someone else." Ben explained.

"Why do you care? She broke up with you. You gotta move on." Rose told him.

"I can't. I love her I can't just move on that fast. I gotta go." Ben stood up, put money down, then left.

"Ben is leaving." Jay said watching Ben leave.

"What do I do?" Mal wondered.

"I don't know. Go talk to him?" Jay suggested.

Mal nodded, stood up, then ran out after Ben.

"Ben?" She said from behind him.

Ben turned around looked at her upset.

"Ben I am so sorry for the other day. You mean the world to me. I was just upset about..." Mal was saying, then Ben cut her off by grabbing her face and kissing her.

"I gotta go." Ben said after he kissed her.

"Ben." Mal stated.

"I'm sorry." Ben said, then ran off.
