Summer Love

A/N: This story is very short, as it's a prologue to my next book, which is going to be much longer. This is the summer of 2018 and i'm sorry if things go fast forward. But I hope you guys enjoy at least <3

"Have you remembered everything?" My mom asks.

"For the fifth time, YES. And if there is anything I've forgot I can probably just buy it there! Stop worrying." I say.

"Ahh okay, I'm just going to miss you so much" She say and comes up to hug me one last time.

"I'm just gone for two months, relax!" I say. "But I really have to go now so I don't miss my flight. I love you mom! I'll text you when I'm there!" I add and run off.

I'm going to visit my aunt this summer, she lives in Canada and It's been years since I last saw her. We live all the way over in Norway so it's a long way to just visit. I've always wanted to go to Canada, and since my aunt lives there it's a perfect opportunity.

I walk to my gate and get inside the plane. I find my seat and I'm off to London, where I'm going to change planes to go to Canada. I put on Niall Horan's album 'Flicker' and then we take off.

******** 13 hours later ********

Finally I'm here! The wait in London was longer than expected because the flight was delayed. But it's alright, at least I'm here now. I get my suitcase and then I walk out to look for my aunt. She told me she was going to wait for me outside. I look around a little and then I see a familiar face.

"Olive!!" I say and run to her and give her a hug.

"Caroline It's so nice to see you!" She say and hug me even tighter.

"It's so nice to see you too aunt Olive. It's been how many years now?" I say. We let go of the hug and then she helps me put my bag into the car.

"It's been too long, and I'm so sorry I haven't came over to visit. But at least you're here now!" She say, and then we get in to the car.

"Yeah. Anything new?" I say.

"I actually got a new job, It's really cool, I'm working with this musician. He's your age actually." She says. Damn, that's cool. Imagine if it was Harry Styles, I would actually die. But he doesn't live in Canada so that wouldn't make much sense.

"That's so cool! What's his name?" I ask.

"Shawn Mendes. Do you know about him?" She say. As it's nothing. Shawn Mendes. Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. WTF.

"OLIVE NO WAY" I say and gasp. "You're joking right?"

"I'm not! I'm a part time leader in Island Records. He seems really sweet, maybe you should hit on him?" She says with a grin. She didn't just say that omg.

"Yeah no shit. He's THE Shawn Mendes" I say and I'm still in shock.

"So you know who he is? Are you a fan?" She asks. I'm not the biggest fan but I'm still a fan. I knew him after he was in magcon. I remember I was a huge fan of Cash. I still am, but not how I was before. Shawn's new album is really good though. I love the song 'Mutual'. That one is really good. My best friend is also a huge fan of him, she's gonna flip when I tell her this.

"I mean yeah, he's a great artist and really hot to be honest." I answer to her question.

"That's cool! Maybe you want to join me at work one day? It's very likely that you're going to meet him!" She says.

"Is that even allowed? What if they think i'm a crazy fan girl and you lose your job or something?" I say. Kinda worried. That's just me overthinking.

"No worries! Just stay calm and we'll be fine." She say and laughs. She pull over and park her car in a parking tunnel. We take my stuff out of the car and find our way to her apartment. It's actually pretty huge.

"Damn. You got a nice place here" I say and look around.

"Haha thanks, I actually moved in recently, so there is still some boxes here and there." She say. "Also your room is over here" she adds and walk towards a door. We walk in and wow. It's much bigger than my room back home.

We put my stuff in the room and I just look around. Oh, I forgot to text my mom.

Me: "hey mom i'm here! i'm with my aunt now <3"

she replied instantly, she was probably worried or something.

Mom: "that's great sweetie! I started to worry a little."

I can understand that though. I'm an only child and my dad left us when I was 12, so it's just me and her and losing me would probably really crush her.

"Hey do you wanna go out and eat? You must be starving!" My aunt says as she comes back into my room.

"Yes I am!" I say and walk towards her, she starts to walk to the hallway to get her shoes.

"McDonalds?" She says and smiles.

"Lol sure!" I say and then we leave to eat.

We get to the McDonalds and then we order two burgers and a soda. While we're waiting for our food Olive gets a call, so she walks a little to the side. I scroll through twitter, and see that Shawn just tweeted.

"We were just jamming in the studio and all of a sudden all the lights go! LOL"

Then my aunt comes back. Our food is done at the same time, she walks up and asks if we can get a bag to take it with us. What?

"Someone called and said someone had cut some wires at work, so I have to get over there, if that's okay?" She say.

"Yeah of course." I say and then we take our food and drive to Island Records.

The building looks just like every other building, and so does the inside. Just a ordinary office entrance. Except for a cool big sign where it says 'Island Records' of course. I follow my aunt in to a hallway, and then in to another room.

"You can just wait here, I just have to go to do some work" Olive says and I sit down in the couch that is there. There's a window so there is some light. It looks like a waiting room or something.

I sit there on my phone and eat a little bit of my burger, and then I hear a door open and someone laughing. I look up to see who it was, and it was none other than Shawn. I stared at him, and then he and the others noticed me.

"Hey!" Shawn said. I still just stared at him, I opened my mouth and tried to say something but nothing came out.

"We'll just go home, Shawn" One of his friends says, and then they all left me and Shawn alone  in the room.

I didn't say anything as I just stared at him.

"Are you alive? haha!" He said and sat down next to me.
