The week leading up to Jeongin's birthday was a mess. His boyfriends had decided that they were going to throw him a surprise birthday party, so they were busy planning that and trying to figure out what presents to get him.

They already decided that they were going to close the shop and hold the party there so they could also invite Changbin (since if they had the party at the house, Changbin would be unable to attend).

Woojin had told the boys that Jeongin said he didn't want anything specific, and that he would like anything as long as it was from them, but they still wanted to get good gifts for the youngest.

Woojin already knew what he was getting for the younger, he had found a spell book with some spells jeongin mentioned having interest in learning, along with a couple of rings.

Chan, with the help of Changbin, had written and produced a song for Jeongin and he was sure that the younger would love it since he loved listening to many of Chan's songs.

Minho had bought a pastel yellow hoodie that Jeongin had seen at the mall a few weeks ago and had fallen in love with.

Seungmin had gotten Jeongin a couple of plushies and a flower crown that he made.

This left Changbin and Hyunjin.

Hyunjin had no idea what to get the younger and Changbin didn't know what to get him either.

Changbin did help make the song with Chan for Jeongin, but he also wanted to get the younger something else.

So now, the two boys are at the mall to look for gifts.

"What if I got Jeongin a cat?" Hyunjin says, the pair walking down around, looking through the glass windows of stores.

"That's not a bad idea," Changbin says. "But I thought you were allergic to cat fur?"

"Oh yeah..." Hyunjin trails off, how could he forget he was allergic to cat fur?

"What about a dog? Jeongin likes dogs," Changbin says.

"That's a good idea!" Hyunjin says, looking at Changbin, "I'd have to ask the others first though,"

Changbin nods and they continue walking around before entering a clothing store.

"Do you know what you're getting Jeongin?" Hyunjin asks the older.

"Not yet," Changbin answers, looking at a display of hoodies. "I was thinking about getting him a pair of shoes since he was talking about needing new ones, but I don't know his size or what types he likes,"

"Oh! I remember him telling me about a pair of shoes he liked when I brought him here the other day," Hyunjin says "I completely forgot, do you want me to show you?"

"Yes, that'd be great," Changbin says, smiling at the taller.

Changbin follows Hyunjin out of the store and they make their way to a shoe store.

Changbin follows him inside and Hyunjin looks around before spotting the shoes Jeongin was talking about.

"Here they are~" Hyunjin says, picking up a pair of black old skool vans. He looks through the boxes before picking one out in Jeongin's size.

Changbin takes the box from Hyunjin and gives him a smile.

"Thank you so much," he says, "You're literally a life saver,"

Hyunjin just laughs and shakes his head.

They walk over to the check out and changbin pays for the shoes before they leave the store.

"I should probably head back and talk to the others about the dog," Hyunjin says, "And I have to help plan more for Friday, you'll be there right?"

"Of course I'll be there," Changbin answers, "I wouldn't miss his birthday,"

"That's good, he'd be sad if you didn't show up," Hyunjin says, "Anyways, I'll be leaving now! See you later!"

"See you later!" Changbin says, waving to the younger, "stay safe!"

And with that the two males split up, Changbin going back to his place while Hyunjin was going back to their forest house.
