A poem of mine called "Heartache" is getting published! My junior year of high school I submitted it in a poetry competition and was going to have it published. Sadly, that didn't happen as I failed to submit the release forms on time. However, I just received an email saying they still want to publish the poem and if I submit the release form by August 19th, it can be published in the American Library of Poetry's fall collection "Illustrious"
I am so excited and I while I wish I could share the poem itself with you guys here, I no longer have a personal copy. However if you wish to read that poem and many more written by many amazing high school authors, check out "Illustrious" once it is released in the fall.
