A Familiar Input (Reader x Neptune) [Input Volume 2]

Ch. 1: Escaping the Blade

Surprise! This takes place Right after A New Input. If you haven't read that, GO READ IT NOW OR THIS WILL MAKE NO SENSE! All good? Good!

You looked at Neptunes tear-stained face as she screamed your name, and you screamed hers in return.

Then the blade came crashing down. You braced yourself for the quick pain of death, but before the blade could deliver, a single shot rang out, along with the sound of a bullet hitting metal. You look over to the source of the shot and see a familiar girl with long black twintails.
The shot that destroyed the blade of the guillotine caused the guards to freeze in shock momentarily.
Neptune took this chance to break free of the guards grip and run over to you. She undid your restraints, freeing you. The first thing you did was embrace her, taking in the warmth you hadn't felt in so long, the scent of her jacket, that you had missed so much.

"Neptune! Neptune!" you repeated the only word your brain could find, as Neptune did the same, repeating your name over and over again.
She broke off the embrace and grabbed your wrist, dragging you to the exit.

"Whoa! Neptune where are we going!?" you ask, surprised at her sudden change of character.

"Somewhere safe. Let's go!" is all she says, before pulling you out of the stadium. Once you were in the alleyway, safe from guards and other threats, you stopped Neptune.

"Okay Neptune. Explain" you ordered.

"When we get to the safe place" she started off again, but was stopped again by your voice.

"Safe place? Like the cabin was? Neptune, just tell me what's going on! Please!" you beg her.
She thinks for a minute, before coming to a decision.

"Fine" she sighs

"It was Noire's idea, actually. She felt that the execution was. . . Wrong. Which it was, but Blanc, Vert, and I would've never thought to defy the Gameindustri Council" Neptune's purple eyes look up to meet yours.

"Once she planted the idea in my head, I couldn't just let it go. I couldn't just sit back and let you die. I love you, (f/n). I love you so much!" she ends by planting a long kiss on your lips. You are forced to break it off when you hear guards shouting in the distance.

"We need to go" Neptune says. You nod and follow her off to the safe place she had previously mentioned.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! SURPRISE!! I bet NOBODY Was expecting that! I had the idea around chapter 2 of A New Input, and was just waiting for the right time to release it!! Note I never say that you die, just that the blade came crashing down. Anyways, thanks for reading! Love y'all!
