"Are you coming late?"
I chuckled at how he felt like a wife as I smile and reply "no"
"Ok, I'm leaving, I have a wife to tend to" I said half smiling half smirking as they wave bye and I enter my car to our apartment

"...so Aesop, Fan And Xie want to go on a double date with us" I said taking a bit of my food, he looked at me surprised
"...actually I was gonna say that Naib and Norton want to go on a double date with us..." He muttered as I chuckle "hot damn, we seem to be popular" I say as the male cracks a laugh

"He doesn't seem like someone who will break your heart and leave you like the last time, try putting more trust" Xie offered advice before getting cut off by his boyfriend
"Joseph, I totally agree on the engagement !!" The male said as I chuckle "of course you do Fan"
"Are you going to tell your parents?" Xie asks as I frown "... they won't come all the way from France just because their son is getting married... to a male none the less" I replied as they sigh
"But you need to tell them" Fan said as I look away sipping on my tea
"I... don't really want them to know either" I informed them as they furrow their eyebrows slightly "does... Aesop know that you are a former Count... or that you are technically a royal-"
"Xie, it doesn't matter, as you just said, I used to be a Count... for 2 years when I was 20 until I gave it up to my older sister" I said slightly irritated
"What is this talk about Joseph being a Count?" My boyfriend asks coming into our living room with tea refills
"It's nothing babe-" I got cut by Fan's hand on my mouth
"Random question, but do you know of Joseph's backstory?" Fan asks as Aesop looks at me and then back to my friend as he thinks for a while
"Actually... now that you mentioned it... not really" he said frowning, I could feel my heart break seeing him frown
"It isn't something that needs to be talked about, it's all the past-" "Joseph, will you shut up for a moment" Xie said with a menacing small smile, I gulped and shrunk not wanting to hear anything
"You don't know about him being Count? Death of his brother? Nothing?-" "ENOUGH! Get out! Now." I said to my two closest friends

"ENOUGH! Get out! Now." My boyfriend said sternly to Xie and Fan, my eyes go slightly wide as I see his eyes slightly glassy
Xie and Fan smile sympathetically to my boyfriend and leave
The air around us felt heavy, and now that we were left alone I didn't know what to say... or do
"Joseph..." I started "just... forget about it, Aesop, it's all in the past it doesn't matter" he said not letting me continue, he looked hurt... as if he didn't want to remember
