Third POV

If Kenma were to cheat... it would be subtle, but different simultaneously. Knowing how intelligent Kenma was, he would hide his secret relationship, and slowly drift away from you until you were the one break off the relationship.

Next was the excuses.

Kenma would constantly say that he'd be busy. Leaving no time for you both to be together. Yes there would be practices after school, but he didn't like it when you came... not anymore.

Your POV

Now it was the next morning of your yesterday night crying session. In the bright-light, glass mirror, your eyes were bloodshot, and puffy.

"Gosh I look like a mess." You whisper lowly.

I hope Kenma worries about me... Though the thought seemed shallow, and selfish, you couldn't help but feel... attention starved.

Before, you both always catered to one another with love, and affection. It's something you thought the both of you mutually cherished.

Guess I was wrong... With a shallow huff, and sob-like hiccup, you splashed your face with water, and started your morning routine.

After dressing, you headed down stairs. Living alone was... well, lonely. No one to talk with (but yourself), and no one to be with (besides Kenma... but he doesn't come over anymore).

Kenma used to come over, very frequently actually, but ever since October ended, he'd become extremely distant.

Lost in thought, you placed a piece of bread within the toaster without a thought of possibly harming yourself. I mean, why would you care if you harmed yourself when Kenma didn't seem to?

Well it happened. You burnt your right hand, pointer finger by grazing a little too close to the heavily heated slot. But hey, at least the bread got inside.

You let out a sound of pain before rinsing off the burnt spot with cold water, then applying a thin sheet of lotion upon the spot. You hoped you'd be able to remember to put on a band aid later.

Looking at the clock, if read: 7:10. You hadn't usually woken up this early, but possibly the effect of Kenma's neglect had you stressed. Of course it did.

You might've well make eggs to go with the toast.

You continue to start on the eggs when you suddenly remembered why you had to check on the time.

Today was Thursday. Every Thursday you both had a tradition where you both brought food for each other. Varying from little snacks to whole meals.

Well... why not? You hadn't prepared anything special for him, and without a doubt he'd forget... I mean... he has forgotten about it a few times within the time of three weeks.

But still, that didn't mean you wouldn't make something for him.

Something simple. Like eggs. Why not?

So making sure to take an extra dose of eggs, some for breakfast this morning, some for packing for Kenma later on, then began to season, and cook.

Everything ended up a success. You hoped that Kenma would at least bring something this time around, and at least apologize for not bringing anything, rather then saying he forgot.

Kenma's packed lunch was safely inside your bag, and everything (For now) was okay.

~*~

Come lunch time, where you both, along with Kuroo would sit, which this time, was outside. You brought out Kenma's lunch, and brought it up to his eye level.

"This is for you. Thursday remember?"

"Sorry... I forgot." He murmured lowly, shying his eyes away to the side, away from you, away from the box.

"I know. At least take it... please." You pleaded, trying to mask the disappointment, and rising tears.

You'd didn't want to make a scene in front of Kuroo.

He silently took the lunch box without another gesture, and opened it as soon as he placed it on the ground.

"Sorry I didn't plan anything." You apologized sheepishly.

"It's fine." Kenma lowly murmured nonchalantly, placing the lid to the side, and taking the box upon his lap to eat from.

You would almost feel giddy if it wasn't that he made an excuse that he had forgotten about today.

Sadness filled your heart. It's been five weeks... five weeks in a row...

Usually he'd bring you one of your favorites. Chocolate. Especially the Ferrero Rocher candies. Those were pretty expensive in general.

I wonder if he'd bought them for anyone else...

"So Kenma," you started brightly, trying to catch eye contact with him. "Why won't you let me come to your practices?"

"I already told you." He sounded a tad annoyed within his bored, and flat voice. "It's distracting, and... unhelpful."

"I see." You responded vaguely with a short nod, making sure to stuff a spoonful of your own lunch into your mouth to avoid talking.

See? Another excuse.

Once finishing a mouthful of chewing, you swallowed and asked: "What are you doing this Saturday?"

"Things..." Kenma replied, he had finished eating, and went to play onto his portable game console.

"What kind?" You asked. You knew you sounded like the pestering, clingy girlfriend. That was what you were exactly trying to do.

"Practice..." he replied lowly.

"Can I come?" You asked, taking a smaller mouthful to chew.

"No." He replied sharply.

"Too distracting?" You stated flatly, almost in disbelief.

He hummed, and nodded, still paying attention to his game.

You couldn't help but sigh aloud, and return to staying silent, staring at your boxed lunch.
