Darling Boy

by sloanranger

My darling, darling boy, I won't forget the joy,

the love long nights, the headlong flights

of fancy, sweet and coy.

I won't forget your eyes, our bed of stifled cries,

the burning thighs, the sated sighs...

no... I won't forget your eyes.

But now it's late, you must depart

lest one of us forgets and starts,

thinking to engage his heart.

And you know dear one, how that would end

no more lover, no more friend.

No, I really must insist, this love affair desist.

No need for years or pretty tears,

we've both been much too clever.

No, my darling, no, my dear, it's time now to dissever.

You go your way I'll go mine, 'tis ever so much kinder,

but if I may, before you go, leave you this reminder.

When next you lay with a love and your flesh is all aflame,

it may help if you remember, the gentle-lady's name.
