And We Will Laugh

When we love

we will walk together in the rain,

we will sit close

and let the heavens baptize us...

and we will laugh.

When we love

we will walk together in the sun,

and your fingers will hold mine

and you will grumble because

I made you sit in the rain...

and we will laugh.

When we love

I shall hold you fast

and warm you and feed you

and love you...

and we will laugh.

When we love

I shall take you away

from your computer every hour

and we will talk before

we write some more...

and we will laugh.

When we love

I shall paint your toenails

with fairy dust

and you will complain,

as you must...

until I use the one that matches your eyes ...

and we will laugh.
