Chapter 5: A new hero
"Who are you?" -Shazam

After a long night of cooking and me being exhausted and passing out after cooking and talking for 2 hours after. I woke up to hear my alarm go off. It's only Saturday yet I feel so tired. "Ok I need to get up. Carly get yourself up." My mind blared at me.

After eating a decently good breakfast I walked over to Mari's. And I made a cup of green tea, yes tea. I was never a coffee person due to the fact I grew up drinking tea. As I was about to pass out again I heard the radio tuned into a announcement. "The capital bank is getting robbed and every hostage will be killed if entered due to bomb threats and machine guns are being used." The news reporter was saying as Mari came downstairs.

"Come on Athena." She said dragging me upstairs and I quickly got changed and put on my face makeup. And getting my cape on. "I'm ready." I said as we use the tech to leave Mari House and she uses her totem and flys up like an eagle and I start flying with my sword in my belt. "Ok so we enter in through the back." I said as Vixen nodded.

Before we entered I heard the gun click from one of the guys with a mask almost saw us. I shushed some of the hostages groups. I let them out carefully through the back door before they could be seen.

"Hey get down. Costumed women." One of the shouted at me. "Why should I ?" I snapped back. As they started to fire at me and I hid behind one of the desks. I hit one of the men with my elbow. And he fell down and I hit one of the other men with a loose pipe by using my telekinesis.

Atleast this isn't that hard. Before one could shoot me Mari went behind them and knocked them out. Before they could hit any of the hostages I blocked the bullets with my sword.

Before we knew it another mission was complete. We finally got the hostages out of the bank and took the criminals out to the police.

Two weeks have past and our names were known as Athena and Vixen Philadelphia's new saviors. We haven't faced the Shazam Family yet due to them either arriving before or after us.

Today when I was hearing the radio it sounded like someone was trying to murder people in a wearhouse in a game warehouse.

Before we arrived the Shazam family was about to be tortured. "Hey crazyman." I said to the leader as he smirked at me. "Well if it isn't queen bee Athena and Princess Vixen." He said as he started some of the machines. "Those machines won't kill them. And besides I'm going to hurt you before it hits them." I said as I jump up and tackle him and his guards are fighting Mari.

I pushed the red release button after getting out of his grip. And I ran up the wall and kicked him in the back. Before the machine could hit Shazam I grabbed the machine and dismantled it from it's bolts. I helped untied him. "thank you kind....wait your that hero Athena." He said as he blocked someone from shooting me. "Yeah, and it's nothing you saved this city somewhat. It's just something I do is save citizens." I said as he laughed.

"We can talk later were going to be dead if we don't finish this lunatic." I said as I did a front hand spring. I hit him with one of the many trashcans around this place. Before he could get back up I tied him with a rope I found earlier. Before I could even move I felt electricity going all around my body and I passed out.

Before everything went black Mary got knocked out and the Shazam family was nowhere to be found. Who would have known my own foster siblings would leave.

I woke up in a glass box. Ok this is new. My mask was still on I'm glad I had it glued on to my face by Mari. Atleast that was the same with her. So maybe I could take it off later. But anyways why I am in a glass box.
