Chapter 2 : danger and safety

          A couple days have passed and it seemed as if the Wood has only gotten thicker, we haven't had any trouble so far into our journey so that's nice .I have also been able to practice my magic more freely since there's no body else out here ,I've finally mastered the spell of invisibility .But  I do hope to run into a traveler soon I'm exhausted from eating jerky and bread and perhaps I can trade for something else maybe I should try and see if there's anything to edible in these bushes that we pass by . Its getting dark  and it looks like its about to rain so we better find some shelter hopefully tomorrow will be more promising .

     I sigh finish writing in my small journal placing it back in the satchel on Kodas side . "Hey bud how bout we stop here for the night alright" , Koda snorts in agreement . I slide off his back with ease walking over to the slightly open field With a small like cave . me and  Koda quickly  grabbed fire wood and  got to work as it started to lightly rain  on us we finished the make shift fire pit in the small cave   . Koda layed down yawning as I grabbed my flute I took a deep breath looking around to make sure no one was coming . It was dark so no one would really see me but they might here me .

I closed my eyes blowing into the golden flute the short tune played as the wood suddenly caught fire . as my lips left the golden instrument I heard a twig snap . crap I thought , Koda  stood up protectively growling as my grip tightened on my flute . Before I could speak a knight ran out of the thicket covered in cuts and bruises. He saw the glowing fire then he looked up notcing me our eyes met . "H-help e-elves " he cried out before passing out a couple of feet away from us .

My eyes widen as I jumped up quickly grabbing him pulling him into the cave so he wouldn't get wet anymore . Laying him next to the fire I checked his pulse , "whew" I sighed in relief he was still alive thankfully . My eyes then noticed his ankle bent at a weird angle , he had sprained it badly I could use my magic but I don't want to risk getting caught .

I walked over to the satchels grabbing the medical supplies walking back over I removed the armor around his foot quickly fixing it up in a small like cast type thing .( I forgot what there called )

I made sure he was alright before laying down next to koda . Koda looked at me questioningly , "let's get some rest okay bud we'll find out what happened tomorrow" I yawned I would have woken him up and interrogated him but I was to tired to care from the journey of the day .
Nodding off into sleep as the fire started to die down a little .

Random knights POV
(I think I'll call him jerry cause I forgot his name does he even have one anyways )
I yawned feeling something wet on my face I pushed it away turning over . I felt it agian groaning I opened my eyes to see a giant grizzly bear . "GAH"! Scooching back I tired to grab my weapon noticing it was no where near me.
"Looking for your weapon " my eyes darted over to the figure her h/c hung loose around her shoulders as one of her hands held my crossbow . "how did you get that " , she cocked an eyebrow " it was out in the rain with you when you passed out" That's right I passed out last night w-when the elf was chasing me  I thought . WAIT ELVES that's right I have to get to the king right away before it's to late ! I quickly tired standing up before wincing at the pain .

"Hey don't do that you'll hurt it more " the e/c girl rushed to my side helping me up . Looking down I noticed it was in a cast I looked back at her . She noticed my gaze " sorry about that I noticed your ankle was sprained so I tried to help it to the best of my ability's now what's got you so jumpy " she set me down gently . I grimaced "nothing I just have to get back to the castle and report to the king it's urgent  " . She bit her lip narrowing her eyes "alright may I atleast know your name " I nodded , "it's jerry  now if you'll excuse me I must get going thank you for your hospitality but I must return to the castle at once "I grabbed my cross bow using it as a crutch limping away .

" Well you won't be able to get the urgently on that ankle " she attached the satchel to the bear . " I can take you there quicker on koda " she walked over helping me as we walked towards the bear . My eyes widened " Wait the bear!" but won't it attack us " i spoke quietly as the bear looked over tilting its head as she chuckled ." Koda he couldn't even hurt a fly " the bear walked over hearing its name it bent down as she helped me on top of him .
"Plus the only thing he eats are jerks " she grinned Jokingly getting on top of him in front of me . "Now let's get you back to the castle sir jerry ",I held onto her as she motioned him forward as he started to take off  while held on to her for dear life .
