"Is your friend over there okay by the way?" She couldn't help but notice Katsuki grunting for quite some time, clutching onto his stomach to cope in the pain.

Izuku frowns upon seeing him like this, knowing too well that Katsuki has been suffering this entire time. The thoughts lingering in his mind is screaming at him to do something or anything to help ease his state, but another thought crawls up telling him theirs nothing he can do. He knows he's hurting and it's cutting him to a million pieces seeing him like this. It should be him paying the consequences instead of Katsuki because it was his own fault not focusing his surroundings during the fight and he doesn't deserve to bear any more pain. Not like this.

But...the past cannot be altered and you must live through those mistakes in the future.

Clearing his throat out loud and swallowing a thick lump of guilt, Izuku croaks out his response as his eyes fixated on Katsuki's scrunched face in a soft stare—hoping that whenever his eyes have the chance to open up —he would be the first thing he sees.

"I-I...don't know..." He gazes back at the sheets and loosens his grip on them after he spoke, avoiding eye contact with him now since they've actually met eyes and was too embarrassed as well before being enclosed with the dark sadness once again.

A shakey wearily sigh escapes passed the nurses lips as she crosses her arms, "Well, I hope he's able to handle it when he gets discharged. I hate to be in his state after taking in all this stress that's been going on. You wouldn't think the pain triggered once I gave him his shot?"

"I honestly don't know. I'm guessing that's a possibility."

"Well, I dearly hope that poor boy recovers soon. Would you be kind enough to watch him for me? You know, to ensure his well-being from not being at risk?" She asks him a favor, a sympathetic aura etches off her as she softly brushes his shoulder for comfort. Knowing how close her patients are from reading their files, she understands how much they're going through at such a young age. It's tough to watch one of your close childhood friends suffering like this. Too bad she isn't aware of their conflicted situation and truly doesn't know the real story behind all this.

"Yeah...sure thing..." His strained voice drops to a whisper, suddenly not in the mood to speak with anyone anymore as he hugs himself for some type of comfort.

But before Izuku fell back into the void of darkness, a gentle knock interrupts them while two friendly faces walk in the room with a few bags over their shoulders. Inko, of course, wearing a warm smile that graced along her innocent features approaches towards her son and softly strokes his spikey hair, even though it isn't his usual fluffy green hair anymore.

"Izuku, my baby, how are you holding up?" The way how soothing her voice harmonizes him settles down any trace of guilt and brought him to curve his lips upward.

He couldn't help but chuckle at her as he answers back bashfully with a pure smile, "I'm doing alright, mom. I just can't wait to get out of here and finally go home." Izuku sighs afterward while smacking his hands against his thighs and rubs them.

"I'm glad to hear, Izuku." She giggles in delight.

"Uh, pardon my intrusion but I would like to inform you that both your sons successfully completed their check up and I just need to have a word with Dr. Hashimoto before bringing out the wheelchairs. In the meantime, you can use this opportunity to get dressed and pack up any remaining belongings and I guess that it's from here." The nurse cuts herself in, packing up and wrapping her medical tools away with a few shuffles before holding up her clipboard and waves them goodbye once she paces towards the door.
