"you're just a small bump unborn, in four months you're brought to life
you might be left with my hair, but you'll have your mother's eyes"

---

in minho's twenty-one years of living never had he ever thought he would have to go to the hospital for anybody other than himself. to have this anxiety course through him with every second that passed; seconds feeling longer than they usually were. the clock that hung on the wall seemed to be taunting him with how obnoxiously slow it ticked. yet besides that, he was here.

he was inside the building that brought chills to his spine especially since he was here for the one person he tried to protect the most. the one person who was the light in his life and would make him his darkest days less shitty. the one who he tried to take care of with all that had been going on. yeah, things weren't going as planned.

he paced around the waiting room, his anxiety clawing at him and tearing him apart. the fact that he was clueless to everything, clueless as to why the other had been in so much pain. the image of him crying while he clung onto his sweater repeating in his head over and over again.

had they done something wrong? was there something wrong? it was too early for things to take the next step. it was far too early for that. minho grew frustrated with his thoughts, his hands running themselves through his hair before tugging onto them harshly. a choked groan leaving him.

those who sat in the same waiting room seem to look at him weirdly but they would never understand properly. they would never understand how nobody would give him a proper answer. all of them just shrugging him off and telling him to answer when all he wanted to know was if changbin was okay.

that the one person they worked hard for since the moment they found out was okay. his eyes drifted off onto the hallway where they took changbin and once he saw a nurse walk towards his way from the hall he rushed up to her. "are there any updates?" his words came out quick and heavy with concern. hope in his eyes that they would tell him something. anything other than that he had to wait.

she looked up into his eyes. her eyes held nothing but pity as though she knew something. as though she knew exactly what was going on but she would never tell. instead, she put on a smile and let out a soft hum, "we're still running a few tests." with that said minho only nodded.

his head pounded when he took a seat for the first time in hours. his shoulders and whole being aching as though he held the weight of the whole world. the same though repeating through his my mind over and over again;

why couldn't he know anything?
