"Go ahead."

"Why does Lieutenant despise androids?"

You paused to think about the whole story. That happened three years ago. A bad feeling is installed in your chest, you didn't want to remember that painfull day.

You sighed, recovering yourself "It's a long story... but not too long. You may know that in the right time. Just be patient with Hank, okay?"

"Right..." Connor nodded while trying to ignore the fact that you avoided answering him.

"That guy has been through a lot of shit..." You smiled to yourself. "Hank may be crabby, but he's a good man."

Connor learned that you have a lot of respect for Hank. It's clear that he's the person you look up to. By observing your behavior towards him, it seems that you both are very attached to each other. Connor wondered if you have the same kind of relationship with your actual dad.

"Anyway, no hard feelings?" You raised your hand.

"No hard feelings." Connor said, even though he couldn't hold any grudge against you.

"Alright. We better come back to Mr. Grumpy right there" You playfully said. "Or he's surely going to miss our bromance here."

Connor was about to leave the break room when you touched his shoulder.

"And Robocop"

He turned his head to you, LED flashing yellow.

"Quit the 'Miss (Y/N)' thing. It's the first day we met and i already gave you a nickname, so why bother?" You ironically winked at him, then left.

Connor is starting to notice the social differences between you and Hank. Unlike Hank, you can handle stressful situations and recover yourself with ease, at least towards androids. But Connor doesn't really care about that matter, androids are meant to serve humans but it was a good thing you don't feel uncomfortable around them. He kinda... likes that.

Around 3 P.M. the three of you went to Chicken Feed. You almost begged for Hank to take you with them. Hank got out of his car, you were still at the backseat, and Connor was there too.

"So what's your plan?" You asked, arms folded so you could keep yourself warm.

"About what, exactly?" Connor said.

"Hank."

"I think... reconciliation with him is my best option for now" Connor was thoughtful for picking the right words. "I must maintain a healthy partnership with Lieutenant if i want to the investigation to go smoothly."

"Well, good luck with that." You said as you got out of the car, following Hank.

You walked towards Hank, which was talking to Pedro.

"Look if isn't one of my favorite women after Michelle Obama!" Pedro smirked, making Hank look at your direction for a second.

"Heyy, Pedro!" You gave him a fresh handshake "How's it going?"

"Last shit-hot tip you gave me set me back a week's wage, Pedro..." Hank continued what he was saying to Pedro before you got there.

"Come on, this is different" Pedro insisted "It's 100% garanteed! You can't go wrong. (Y/N), wanna join in?"

"Sorry, bud. Not feeling lucky today." You said.

"As always." Pedro sighed.

"Alright, i'm in." Hank gave Pedro the money for the bet.
