I only just get my house tour video uploaded before there's a knock on my door. I call for Diana to answer it while I finish up
"Di! Get it please!"
"Yes princess."
She replies. I laugh, turning off my laptop. I grab my backpack and head out. I find Colby and Sam and two others waiting with Diana in our living room. I point to each of the two I do remember meeting before
"Jake and Corey. Good to see you dudes."
They bump my fist casually
"You too, Alaska. You too."
Jake states. I accept Colby's incoming hug, asking
"Ready to go?"
"We out, bye Di."
She rolls her eyes, seeing him smirk
"Haha. Anyway- don't get my cousin killed. She's the only reason I get to live here."
He smiles
"I'll keep that in mind."
I slip out from under his arm and hug Diana
"See you tomorrow. Alive."
"Good. But if your dead come hang still."
"Oh, in my house? Sure. Thanks for the offer."
She laughs, telling me
"Okay ma, you can go now."
I tell her
"No parties and no boys young lady."
She scoffs
"No need to worry about that. Have fun gang."
"We will."
Sam replies as I lead them out the door. We squish into Colby's car and take of on a two hour drive towards the witches forest. While driving, Sam holds the camera around to face me in the centre backseat
"We've recruited another explorer."
I typically, of my character, throw up the horns as I sip my iced almond latte. Sam introduces
"You may have seen her around. Just maybe. If you're one of her three mil subscribers."
I wave at the camera
"Hey guys, its Alaska."
Sam states
"Alaska dabbles in a bit of exploring on her channel too. Spells, tarot, haunted stuff. Amongst other things. You got something for everyone huh?" I nod, he pokes "no wonder everyone loves you."
I roll my eyes and laugh with him.
"Thank you for coming along."
Sam thanks me. I return it
"Thank you for inviting me."
He asks
"You excited?"
"I wanna say yes but I know the confidence will just jinx us and make bad stuff happen."
Jake informs me
"It's a Sam and Colby video, bad things will happen anyway."
I laugh, then stating
"Well, I'm that case yeah, I'm super exited."
He spins the camera back to face Colby driving
"For those who don't know yet, Alaska just moved to LA and we've been wanting to film with her for a while now so we jumped at the opportunity."
Colby hums, nodding at Sam's statement. Who then states
"Colby and Alaska actually go way back-"
I speak up before he can continue, he turns the camera back to me
"But that's a story time for another time."
Sam continues, filming each one of us in the car for a second
"Anyway- Jake, Alaska, Corey, Colby- we got the whole gang, let's go!"

First off we meet up with a girl called Jennifer's friend who lives up there and just happens to be a witch. And Jennifer owns a cabin up there which she has leant us the key to. I recognise the name too, having only recently just watched the series in which they met her, at the Stanley. When we get up there, and to the witches place, I'd think it was creepy if I wasn't so used to be surrounded by crystals, tarot and all that jazz. She sages us as soon as we walk in the door. We chat with her for a while, about the history of the place and all that stuff. She seems cool enough, a little darker than I was expecting. I think the difference between us is that she just dives into the magic and stuff, but if I do any of this stuff I always pray before hand and take all religious precautions. She begins doing a tarot reading for us, the cards coming out being the tower, the nine of swords, and death. They guys look between each other shocked and concerned, I tell them
"It isn't as bad as it looks."
The witch nods, agreeing with me, and jumps into her explanation of the cards. When it comes to her explanation of the death card, I add
"It can just mean change too. New beginnings. Usually not physical death."
The witch looks to me
"You know your stuff?"
I shrug
"I dabble. I think we dabble a little differently though."
She smiles at me
"Yeah. I get good energy from you though. A bit of a spiritual magnet hey?"
I laugh
"You could say that."
"I can feel that. For sure."
After a little longer we thank her and head on our way to the forest and to set up camp. I learn that Colby has a knack for this whole camping thing, and it's coming out now. We walk looking for a place to set up, Colby filming and talking
"Let's walk down this scary path, find a good place, some flat ground to set up camp, and go from there."
I scoff
"Okay, Boy Scout."
Sam adding
"Yeah mr Boy Scout, what do we do?"
We chuckle, and a few minutes later come to an eerily perfect campground. At least by Colby's standards
"Yeah, it's like, soft ground, there's no hill or anything. It looks pretty flat. I say we try this."
Corey denies, claiming
"We're going to get murdered! Look where we are bro. This looks too nice. Slash creepy."
We start pitching the tent, most of which Colby and I do. I stop to address the camera where it is sat down recording our efforts
"A lot of you think that Colby's truest form is emo Colby. Wrong. Boy Scout Colby is."
Colby laughs and addresses
"What about you? Look at you go."
I state
"Well, I'm Australian."
Colby mocks, putting on a blatantly stereotyped Aussie accent
"Alaska's been pitching tents since she was an ankle biter."
I chuckle, admitting
"You're not wrong."
When we're pretty much done, Sam films Colby for a good minute tying the thing at the top of the tent up, to which after a minute of all of us watching, I joke
"You guys should make a YouTube channel."
After we've put the cover on, Colby exclaims
"Did we just?!"
Sam squeals
"We pitched a tent brother!"
I chuckle, it's endearing how proud everyone is of this achievement. We climb in the tent to examine our efforts. It's a little crowded but we'll all make it work. We have sleeping bags, we're all good. Sam keeps making jokes
"Lets's take our clothes off!"
"Now we can all cuddle, in one sleeping bag..."
I laugh, telling them
"Okay, you guys do whatever you wanna, just do it on your side of the tent okay brother?"
They laugh at me adapting to their way of talking, always addressing each other as brother. Sam films Colby a few minutes later as he discusses our game plan, adjusting his blue hair under his hood
"We pitched a tent. Share sleeping bags. We can go try and find a place to start a fire."
Sam asks
"Do you think this is going to blow away if we leave it?"
"Yes," he replies instantly "the ground is so soft here that, like, the wind blew so hard it just blew the spokes out."
I tease again
"Spokes. Listen to you, Boy Scout."
He pokes my side, knowing full well I'm ticklish
"You did most the work putting this up."
I retort
"Yeah but I don't know that spokes are called spokes."
He chuckles, throwing an arm around my shoulders and pulling me into him casually. Like we left off. We decide to go explore the surroundings a little, and put all our stuff in the tent so it doesn't blow away. Colby also suggests we should find rocks to put on the spokes to prevent them from flying away again. It's as soon as we're ready to get going that we start hearing noises. Already? Wow. The first sound sounded like a growl, which we all heard. Then we hear it again, longer this time, and come to the realisation is sounds more like a motorcycle or chainsaw. Then as we begin walking seeping into the woods, we hear some kind of shout or scream. Very clearly one of them. It's then that we decide, as Colby states from behind the camera
"Yo- we're not alone here."
Eventually, we actually see people riding motorcycles around the place, which eases our mind a little. Colby and I get a little eager and head further into the woods, while the other boys stop and suggest maybe we don't wander too far away from the car and campsite. But on the premise that we're exploring the forest for a reason, we head on, only to stop a moment later after sighting an abandoned jacket in the grass. Colby picks it up, and I whack at his hand
"Don't pick it up the dodgy jacket Col, what's wrong with you?"
He puts it gently back down, and we decide to head back in the direction we came from instead of going any further. It's on the way back that I turn towards Colby still with the camera, and tell him what I'm thinking
"All honesty, I'm starting to get a bad feeling about tonight. So you, Colby, better not leave me tonight or I'm holding it against you forever."
He chuckles as I fall back into step beside him
"I wouldn't leave you- I need you to protect me."
I giggle, hugging him from the side
"I got you."
