the next morning was better. rose made sure to not come in contact with her father again. it brought up too many bad memories, and trauma.

Dodie, on the other hand, had had a change of heart. she realized the pain she had caused her Rosebud.

The two were happy now. Free of trauma. Nights were graced with drunk giggles and dancing, kisses and pasta. The June air had a tinge of rainbow, and the two enjoyed their first  Pride Parade together as a couple. Days were full of writing, music, of tea and conversation.

Rose had settled down. And while nights sometimes contained tears, Rose was happy. And as long as Rose was happy, Dodie was too.
