"Excuse me Miss we're closing soon you have to go"

"What no! He's going to be here soon I promise"

"Okay 10 more minutes and then you have to leave" she sighs and walks away

I got here exactly at 6! Got us a table! Ordered us drinks! And he never showed up!

I am heartbroken

I can't believe I thought he would come

I pick up my phone and call Hallie, shaking

"Hey Jess how was-"

"You were right"

"Huh?"

"He-He didn't come. You were right"

"Oh my god I am going to murder him"

"I-I just can't believe it"

"Ma'am it's time to leave"

I sadly nod and get my things to leave

"Hey Jess?" Hallie says from the phone

"Ye-Yeah"

"Do you want to come over... we can have a girls night" she asks sweetly

"Yes please"

"Okay I'll leave the door unlocked I'll be setting up my room for us"

"Thank you"

I hang up and sadly go in my car

"OH MY GOD JESS HEY!" I hear a familiar voice yell

I turn around angrily and wipe my tears

"What do you want Jonah!"

"I'm sorry I was late!"

"Late! The restaurants closing! It's been 5 hours!"

"What no! It's only been 2 hours! I swear"

"You told me 6!"

"No I said 9. Look"

He shows me his phone and it shows the same text I saw

"Jonah you said 6" I push the phone towards him and he shakes his head

"Oh no oh no oh no! I didn't mean that at all. I remember writing 9. Fuck!"

"Whatever. Goodbye Jonah I was really excited for this but- you know what never mind you don't deserve to talk to me goodbye" I go in my car and slam the door shut

I decide he isn't worth my tears and I drive away to Hallies house

I finally get to her house and run into it

I sadly walk up to her room and when I open her door I immediately smile

"Wow"

She completely moved her room around

In each corner there's a different thing

In one there's a bunch of food, in another there's a bunch of movies, another one has bags of something, and the last one has a ton of face masks and things like that

I love my best friend

"Hallie! I can't believe it"

I run towards her and give her a huge hug

"I told you we were having a girls night"

"You're the best best friend ever!"

She laughs and we sit on her bed

"Go choose a movie"

"Okay not a problem"

I happily get up and choose my favorite one ever
