"Project Apocalypse"

My first encounter

His gaze locked with mine . His face blank .

"Tell me about it .please ."I signed at his request .

"Fine ...sit down . This might take awhile ."

"It was after I got out of training . We just learned how to use our gradient blades . I seemed to finally get the hang of it . As I left headquarters , I felt something drip onto my head . I look up and saw it ... The Cerberus . It's headed dripping drool onto my goggles . I was too afraid to scream . It bend over it's middle head and opened it's jaws . I finally sprung into action and used my gas pressured jets to reach it's eye level . I recalled from earlier in training that it's kill zone was it's temple. Pushing my fear away , I drove my blade into its cheek . It howled in pain and shook violently . I used my grapple hook to climb to it's forehead . I let out a battle cry and punctured it's temple . The beast instantly collapsed and I fell with it . Luckily I fell on top of it . I panted in shock . I thought of how it could have possibly made it over the wall without breaking it . The answer was clear ; it teleported . But how ? I don't know " I looked up at taki . "

"I can't explain it but it was then when I realized things are going to change . This city ... This civilization . We are going to have to study these creatures .... We can't just kill and dispose. We must dissect , inspect and create new defense tactics. "He nodded quickly .

"I agree but commander aria "... "She's to strict to understand ."

"Well I don't need her blessing to save humanity ." I huffed .

"I see ... Just ... Be mindful she could kill you if she wanted to . Be careful .promise me you will be careful ?.."I said nothing . I pulled my scarf up and opened the door .

"I can't keep that promise but I can promise I will end this ... With or without you ..." I slammed the door in anger . I can't believe him . Taki is always on my side .how could he not be now . Whatever I thought. I don't need him . I walked to an alley behind the training grounds and stopped at a hole in the wall . I sighed and crawled into it revealing my sacred lair . An abandoned underground library . Home of all myth books and the ONLY "research " I have to prove my case to aria .

"Let the evidence searching begin." I mumbled and began my investigation .
