"Jesus Christ, are you alright?" You rushed to Connor, helping him to get up. Gavin punched him, you realized.

"Detective Reed seems to be uncomfortable by my presence." Connor recovered his posture.

"Oh, don't mind Gavin." You smirked " He's just jealous of that well side brushed hair of yours." You slightly slid your fingertips down the lock of hair that falls over his forehead, fixing it.

The android is charming. From his perspective, you seem to be a very good person. This gesture, however, was very friendly of you even though he thought you didn't like androids like the other humans do. He kind of appreciates that. But that doesn't mean anything, does it?

"I am fine, miss (L/N)." Connor said, tightening his tie, very classy. " Machines don't feel pain, so don't worry."

"Alright, Robocop" You chuckled. "Suit yourself."

You both walked back to Hank's desk. Perfect timing, he just arrived.

"It's good to see you again, Lieutenant." Connor said. Hank rolled his eyes at the same moment.

"Ah, Jesus! And (Y/N), what are you doing in here?"

" Oh, I'm just passing by..." You started, but suddenly you heard Captain Fowler's voice in a short distance.

"Hank! In my office."

Hank gestured for you to wait. He and the android headed to Fowler's office. You got a little bit awkward by watching them talking from afar. As the conversation goes, Hank got up from the chair and it looks like his trying to reason with Captain, both seemed stressed out. A moment later, Hank headed out of there, then Connor.

"Is everything ok?" You asked, a bit concerned. Hank surely wasn't in a good mood, he sat with his arms folded and a grumpy expression was painted on his face.

"What do you think?" Hank scoffed. Nothing was really "ok" to him.

"I get the impression my presence causes you some inconvenience, Lieutenant." Connor said, since he was present at the office he must know that situation wasn't smoothly. "I'd like you to know I'm very sorry about that."

This is getting weird. Hank is not very happy, and Robocop just keeps talking... What should I do?

You decided to try to tell Connor to drop it. You put your hand on his shoulder, he looked at you, and without saying a word you just turned your eyes to Hank then back at him, his LED flashing yellow for a second, turning back to a calm blue right after.

"Now that we're partners, it would be great to get to know each other better!" Connor smoothly said. That didn't help at all.

Shit.

Hank stayed quiet. You thought it was better to say something.

"So! Uncle Hank" You started, awkwardly smiling "Like I was saying earlier, I'm just passing by and I bought you some cake pops... It's in that paper bag right there."

Hank was still grumpy, but at least was paying you attention. Connor was doing the same.

"I have a study group scheduled for today and I thought it would be nice to see my favorite godfather." Good shot. Hank seemed to warm up a little bit.

"I'm the only godfather you have, you can't have favorites." Hank said.

"Is there a desk anywhere I can use?" Connor asked, trying to join your conversation with Hank.
