Sara's Pov:

Tears ran down my eyes faster than the Nile flows. My shrieks were animalistic, almost like I was a part vulture. "Mommy NO!" My cries ran through the newly emptied halls. Every step my mother took was like a stab to the heart.

"PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME, MOMMY! MOMMY!" My father sat at the dining table, head in his hands as he silently sobbed, watching my mother taking more and more steps.

My mother turned around and lifted her sunglasses. "I never loved you." She took one final step out the door. "You were never perfect enough.  Goodbye Sara. Don't call me 'Mommy' again, in fact...DON'T CONTACT ME AGAIN!" Sara watched as her mother descended down the stairs and stepped into the taxi.

"She's...really...gone..." My father whispered, watching as the taxi driver put my mother's bags into the truck. He looked at us sadly, then opened the door for my mom. "I'm sorry..." he mouthed at us.

Sorry for what?

Why was HE sorry?!

Because he was driving my mother away from my father and I?

Because he pities us?

Because he knows what it feels like?

For whatever reason, he mouthed...sorry.

I spent years trying to be perfect for my mom. I tried to give her the best life possible. SHE should be sorry!

She should be sorry for leaving.

For not letting me explain.

For not even giving me a chance in the first place...

But my mom's taxi drove away, and I fell into unconsciousness.
