Flower yawned as she woke up. It was the first day of school and she was not excited. The only good part of her day would be getting to meet up with her friends, Fukase, Oliver, and Piko. She felt like it had been forever since the last time they were all in the same place.
She did however spend a lot of time with Piko over the summer. Her alarm went off again snapping her out of her thoughts. she got out of bed and tried to get dressed as quickly as possible. She turned on her phone and looked at the time. "crap" she muttered to herself knowing that Piko would have a lecture prepared for her if she was late. She walked out of her room and into the kitchen. She grabbed a small slice of left over cheesecake from the fridge and quickly ate it.
She grabbed her backpack and headed out the door, trying to walk as fast as possible, mentally preparing herself for Pikos lecture. Luckily the walk to the bus stop where she meets her friends was quick, it wasn't long before she met up with the group, and just like she expected Piko was the first to badger her about being late. The white haired boy instantly walked over to her.
"Seriously? It's the first day of school and your already late?" His voice sounded soft even though he was clearly trying to act annoyed.
"Opps,"
[WARNING MENTIONS OF EATING DISORDERS] Fukase, who at the time was talking with Oliver turned around to face her. He slightly looked her up and down, frowning a bit. Flower had lost a lot of weight over the summer. It was a bad eating habit that only Fukase knew about, and she had promised him that she would fix it, but obviously, she hadn't. To her surprise he didn't say anything about it, instead he simply said
"We should get going." The boy behind him, Oliver, nodded in agreement.
Oliver and Piko seemed almost excited for the new school year, but Flower knew that both her and Fukase we're both dreading going back to school.
They started walking, since Oliver and Piko had the most energy they ended up in front, with Fukase and Flower slightly falling behind.
"You need to start eating better" His voice came out as a quiet mumble, trying not to let Piko or Oliver hear him.
"Yeah, Yeah. I know."
"I'm serious Flower, It's not healthy" Fukase was the type of person that seems like a self centered asshole on the outside but anyone who actually knows him can see that he's the most caring and loyal person ever. Flower looked at the ground.
"Yeah okay."
Piko slightly glanced back at them before going back to his conversation with oliver. Fukase cocked his eyebrow suspicious of something, but flower had no what.
"What?" she asked, tilting her head curiously. "Oh nothing." He said slightly smirking, which only made her more confused.
"So, any plans for this school year?" He said changing the topic making it obvious he had no intent to answer Flowers question.
"Survive till summer" Fukase laughed a bit.
"I meant a goal that's actually achievable" Flower laughed slightly at his comment. Then suddenly Piko spoke,
"So what are you guys looking forward to this year?",
"Summer" both Fukase and Flower responded at the same time, Piko pouted
"You guys are so pessimistic, try to look on the bright side for once."
"What could possibly be good about school?" Fukase asked. Piko starred off into the distance thinking of an answer.
"Well for starters we all get to hangout again, it's been a while since all four of us were in the same place." Oliver nodded in agreement.
"I guess so" Flower responded reluctantly, smiling slightly. Piko seemed so enthusiastic it was hard not to smile. Fukase eyed the two suspiciously before whispering something to Oliver, causing the smaller boy to laugh.
"What?" Piko asked.
"Nothing, don't worry about it," Fukase responded with a smirk, Oliver still laughing behind him.
Strangely Flower felt hopeful, maybe this school year wouldn't be so bad after all
