Never Did He

She stood in front of him, but he looked away.

She sang for him, but he chose to plug in his earphones.

She wore a flattering dress for him, but never did he noticed.

But still, she smiled at him hoping that he'll smile at her the same way she did.

But never he did smile back.

Beneath the ear-touching smile conceals a deep-scarred soul.

Beneath her thick layers of fat hide a thin sheet of a broken heart.
