The Beginning of A Story

One day your world will all crash and burn around you. Tell your parents you love them. Slap your friend on the back. Go outside, go on an adventure. See the world, travel. Cause one day it will all go downhill. That's what happened to me at the very beginning of my story. And it sucks, but you gotta keep on going. But for me, today is not that day. The day we should start is at the beginning of 2040. That's where most of this started going downhill.

Malibu California, 2040

"Okay tell me again why do you have to go to New York?" I rolled my eyes. "Because Jakob, the UN is calling me in for a meeting and I've already postponed this meeting two times. And my mom is starting to see through my lies." "But your mom lets you do, like, everything. Why don't you tell her you don't want to go?" I facepalmed. "Its the UN Jakob! I can't just say 'sorry I don't feel like coming in'. That's not how the United Nations works. And besides it's the government, I'll never be able to run away from them." He shrugged "why don't you move out of the country" "and leave my mom and your useless ass? No way." "I don't see why you have to go." "Yes, and you also don't see that college is important." "You know I can't afford it." "Yes because you spend all of your money on cigarettes. You smell bad enough...." "Hey! I'm not smoking as much as I was, thanks to the rehab you're sending me to." "Your welcome by the way." "Thank you." I looked down at my phone to see the time. "Hey, Jakob I've gotta go, see you tomorrow." "You have to leave already?" "Yeah. Bye!" and started to run to the airfield.

When I got there I found the jet and rushed over. With three minutes to spare from lift-off, I walked into the private jet, with a greeting from the flight attendant. "Welcome aboard The Juniper Ms. Stark."
