3rd Person POV
[The boy faced off against the Sector Security man. He didn't really think this through. He just wanted to act like his friend Yusei and be a hero. Now he was facing off against an officer with a deck that he didn't know how to use. Time seemed to stand still. Everything was motionless. It was almost like the deck appeared because the cards chose him to wield them. He suddenly knew how to use all of them. He was ready to take down this officer and save the people behind him. Time returned to normal and the boy drew his hand]
Officer/Boy: Let's duel!
Turn 1- Officer
Boy- 8000 LP/ Officer- 8000 LP
Officer: The law goes first. My turn. I draw. I summon Goblindbergh in ATK Mode!
Goblindbergh: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 0 DEF
Officer: Its special ability kicks in. I can summon a monster that is level 4 or lower from my hand. I choose: Attack Gainer
Attack Gainer: Level 1- 0 ATK/ 0 DEF
Officer: I now tune my Level 1 Attack Gainer with my Level 4 Goblindbergh! This monster always gets his suspect!" Synchro Summon! Level 5 Goyo Chaser!
Goyo Chaser: Level 5- 1900 ATK/ 1000 DEF
Officer: With that I'll end my turn.
Turn 2- Boy
Boy- 8000 LP/ Officer- 8000 LP
Boy: You don't scare me. I'll make you respect the Timelords! My turn. Draw. I summon Michion, the Timelord in ATK Mode!
Officer: How did you summon a monster like that without tributing? It doesn't really matter since it has no ATK or DEF.
Boy: I can normal summon this monster to my field if I control no monsters! It can't be destroyed in battle and neither of us takes damage. Also it is unaffected by card effects.
Officer: Then why summon a useless monster?
Boy: Show some respect! Battle. Michion, attack Goyo Chaser!
Officer: What are you doing?
Boy: Like I said, neither of us takes battle damage. I now end my Battle Phase. Now the special ability of my monster activates. If it battled this turn, I can half your LP!
Officer: What! Ahh!
Officer- 8000 LP - - - 4000 LP
Boy: Turn end.
[The boy and girl watched on in awe]
Boy: Did you see that?
Girl: Yeah. Incredible. He is someone that the Commoners could use.
Boy: I was thinking the same thing.
Turn 3- Officer
Boy- 8000 LP/ Officer- 4000 LP
Officer: You may have halved my LP but you didn't get rid of my monster! My turn. I draw! I summon another Attack Gainer in ATK Mode! I now tune my Level 1 Attack Gainer and my Level 5 Goyo Chaser! To catch my prey, I call a predator! Synchro Summon! Level 6 Goyo Predator!
Goyo Predator: Level 6- 2400 ATK/ 1200 DEF
Officer: Since you won't take damage if I attack, I'll end my turn.
Girl: There is nothing the officer can do!
Boy: No one takes battle damage and the monster won't be destroyed! So that makes attacking pointless!
Turn 4- Boy
Boy- 8000 LP/ Officer- 4000 LP
Boy: My turn. Draw. My monster's effect activates. It is shuffled into my deck. Now I summon Sandaion, the Timelord in ATK Mode!
Sandaion, the Timelord: Level 10- 4000 ATK/ 4000 DEF
Officer: How is that possible! That monster has 4000 ATK and DEF.
Boy: I can summon this monster if you control a monster and I don't. Battle. Sandaion, attack! Your monster is destroyed but you take no battle damage!
Officer: No!
Boy: I end my battle phase. Now the special ability of my monster activates. You now take 2000 LP of damage!
Officer: What? Ahh!
Officer- 4000 LP - - - 2000 LP
Boy: Turn end.
Girl: He's in perfect shape and has taken no damage!
Turn 5- Officer
Boy- 8000 LP/ Officer- 2000 LP
Officer: I will not lose to you! My turn. I draw. I place a monster face down in DEF mode and end my turn.
Girl: The officer will survive for a little while. He has a monster in DEF so he will take no damage. Then again, he did damage to the officer with the monster still on the field.
Turn 6- Boy
Boy- 8000 LP/ Officer- 2000 LP
Boy: Time to end this. My turn. Draw. I summon Sandaion, the Timelord in ATK Mode!
Officer: Not him again!
Boy: I'm afraid so! Battle. Sandaion, attack!
Officer: When Little Trooper is destroyed in battle, I can special summon 1 Level 2 or lower Warrior Type monster from my deck in face down DEF position. I will live to see another turn.
Boy: Sorry but that isn't happening. The effect of my monster activates. Since it battled this turn, you take 2000 LP. This duel is over!
Officer: Ahh!
Officer- 2000 LP - - - 0 LP
[The officer passes out in exhaustion. The two people behind him run towards him]
Yugo: That was amazing! I'm Yugo by the way.
Rin: I'm Rin. Those monsters are incredible!
Boy: Thank you. Honestly, I don't even know where I got them.
Yugo: Is there a place we can take you?
Boy: Yeah. Sure.
[The boy climbed on Yugo's duel runner. Rin sat on the very back. Rin smiled as she looked at the boy]
Rin: You're an answer to our prayers!
Boy: How so?
Rin: You could change things for the Commoners!
[The boy realized that Rin was right. The news of this duel would travel fast. Things were about to get a lot more complicated]
