Dillon paced around the house, feeling a little worried that Alistor hasn't come back from his scavenging session yet.
This caused Elizabeth, who was left in the house along with Dillon, Georgie and Oliver (blame those stupid injuries), to roll her eyes. She placed down her mug of tea and brought over another cup to Dillon. Dillon thanked Elizabeth and looked out the lightly curtained windows. Elizabeth frowned and placed a hand on Dillon's shoulder.
"He'll be fine. Kara, Chris, Lucius and Anya are out with him. I'm sure the whole team will be fine." Dillon nodded, but his facial expression said otherwise. Elizabeth ushered for him to sit down on the couch. He complied and she followed suit.
"Dillon, I know you're worried, but we've got the best out there. Chris was a member of the military, Anya's a badass who can basically kill someone if she wanted to, Kara's an awesome doctor, Lucien could kill even with stares alone, and Alistor can definitely kick ass." She offered him a small smile. Dillon sighed and held his head in his hands.
"I know.. but I just- why didn't they bring me?" Elizabeth glared at Dillon.
"Dillon you're injured. Or did you forget the time that you jumped in front of dozens of Zaliens for Alistor?"
"He was gonna die-"
"But he had an explosive in his hand. He had a plan." At this, Dillon went silent.
"Dillon, I'm not blaming you for jumping in line of those Zaliens. In fact, I would've done the same if I had a significant partner. But Dillon, I'm telling you that Alistor wouldn't have liked it either if you have been gone because of him-" Elizabeth paused for a second and looked at Dillon to make sure he's listening. "likewise if you keep on worrying about him and not eating anything at all." Dillon let out a big sigh and gave a small smile to Elizabeth. The whole team had gotten accustomed to Elizabeth mothering them, from Georgie, to even Chris himself. And at times like these, Elizabeth's mothering does help calm Dillon down.
After seeing the smile, Elizabeth stood up and walked over to somewhere else in the house. "I'm going to be checking up on Oliver then in the basement okay? Just call me if you need anything." Elizabeth said as she walked away. "Shoot a gun if necessary!" She shouted the last part, earning a chuckle from Dillon.
"Will do mom!" This earned a hearty laugh from Dillon and a threat from Elizabeth, but a laugh eventually ensues from the woman. After the laughter subsided, Dillon stared at his body. But that didn't last long, for once after Dillon decided to go and wash that mug of his, the door bursted open.
In stormed a panting Alistor, followed by a slightly scared looking Lucius, while a neutral-faced Chris still had his gun cocked up, and Kara was literally horrified while Anya kept her stern gaze. Dillon shot them a weird look but kept his hold on his gun holster anyway. They were quiet for a couple of seconds before closing the door and bursting into laughter.
Dillon looked at them weirdly, but Alistor shrugged it off and walked closer to Dillon. The two embraced and Dillon placed a kiss on Allistor's forehead.
"I was worried." You could see Alistor's slightly flushed face but he chuckled and buried his face in the crook of Dillon's neck to hide it.
"Ehehehehe, I'm here now. So stop worrying shortie." Alistor placed his hands on Dillon's waist, pulling him closer. This time it was Dillon's turn to blush as Alistor sniffed his scent. "Mmm... You smell good. Ehehehehe." Dillon blushed harder.
'HOW THE FUCK DOES THIS GUY GET A LICENSE FOR BEING A CUTE ANGEL?'
The thought rang in his head as he didn't realize the others settling into their own rooms after they can't handle the sweetness radiating from the pair. The room had become silent except for the sound of the two's heartbeat drumming. Alistor placed his hand on Dillon's wrapped up wound, and frowned.
"You didn't have to do that..." Alistor mumbled. Dillon's hand rested on Alistor's head, rubbing it a bit.
"I was foolish, Listor. I didn't know you had a plan, and I kinda ruined it while you could've-" a finger was placed to shut Dillon up.
"It's only a plan. A speck of a thing. All that matters is that you're here. And that's enough." Alistor placed a small peck on Dillon's lips.
"Would that be enough?" Dillon sang. Alistor chuckled his signature 'ehehehe' and sang back
"That's enough."
