Chapter 69 - Light Overcomes the Darkness!

Going near him, Natsu was about to hit him but was stopped by his hand and fell to the ground.

"Natsu!", Lucy yelled as she ran to his side.

Zeref laughed, "You will never defeat me! Your precious S-Class Wizard is out. Who will help you now?"

"We will," Erza said with confidence as she and Laxus stood side by side.

He looked at them and made a smirk, "Oh. Of course. Titania and the.....other guy...."

"I have a name you know!", Laxus snapped.

"Enough talking!", Zeref yelled. He placed his hand in front of him and shot a strong death wave.

Laxus released his lightning aura and created a shield out of it.

Zeref's eyes widened with surprise.

"Erza!", Laxus yelled.

"Right!", she replied as she ran to him.

Erza: Ex-quip! Black Wing Armor! Moon Glimpse!

The attack was dodged by Zeref. He jumped into the air and Erza jumped as well. She tried to slash him with her sword, but she was not able to reach him.

"Natsu! Are you alright?", Lucy asked with a worried tone.

Natsu shook his head and looked at Lucy, "Lucy?"

She nodded.

"What happened?"

"You fell unconscious because of Zeref's attack," Lucy explained.

"Oh, right." He looked up and got angry once he saw Zeref. As he was about to get up, Lucy helped by supporting his back.

Once he stood, he smiled at Lucy, "Thanks."

Lucy nodded with a smile.

"HEY! YOU BASTARD!", Natsu yelled. "I'M OVER HERE!!!!!"

Zeref looked at him with surprise, "HOW DID--"

"You're open!", Erza yelled.

Erza: Ex-quip! The Knight!

She slashed Zeref.

"SHOOT!!!", Zeref yelled as he fell to the ground.

He slowly got up and stood in front of everyone.

"You....are a nuisance."

Everyone's eyes widened with surprise.

He placed his two hands together and showed a type of sign, "Now....you shall pay for your sins! Feel repentance!"

His attack was unleashed.

CLING!

A bright light, of a sword, was shown.

From the smoke released was me, standing confidently in front of everyone.

"Melanie!", everyone yelled with happiness.

"Wait! Your powers! I took them away from you!", Zeref yelled.

"Like I said before, wizards of the light are stronger than wizards of the darkness. The magic did not work on me at all!"

"Ugh! I should've known!" He clenched his teeth.

"Zeref, if it's a fight you want, then it is a fight you will get!", I said with confidence. "I guess you don;t understand what I've been saying all along!"

He looked down and charged immediately.

"Let's go!", I yelled.

"Yeah!", everyone replied.

Lucy: Open! Gate of the Lion: Leo!

"Nice to see you, Lucy!", Leo greeted.

"Please help!", Lucy said.

"Of course! Hey, Aurelie!", he said before he ran towards Zeref.

Aurelie reacted with surprise once she heard him.

Once he got close to him , Loke attacked.

Loke: Regulus Impact!

The attack came towards Zeref and he got blinded by the light.

Zeref groaned as he tried to shield his eyes.

Erza gasped, "That's it!"

"What?", Lucy asked.

"Zeref's weakness is light! We have to attack with light!", Erza yelled.

Once Loke's magic disappeared, Zeref stood up and looked at us with an angry look. "You will regret this!"

"I don't think so!", I yelled.

Erza: Ex-quip! Lightning Empress Armor! Lightning Cyclotron!

Laxus: Raging Bolt!

Natsu: Fire Dragon's Roar!

Lucy: Regulus Impact!

Me: Ex-quip! The Light Enchantress! The Power of Light!

The attacks combined and created a Unison Raid. It went towards Zeref and created a bright light.

Seconds later, the light dimmed and Zeref was standing, uneffected.

We all became shocked.

"This can't be possible...", Erza said with a shaky voice.

"Light always overcomes darkness doesn't it?", Lucy asked.

Zeref's red eyes shined, "Is that the best you can do?"

"We always used our light powers!", Laxus yelled.

"We can use our powers but they won't be enough to stop him!", Natsu yelled.

I clenched my teeth.

"We should just..."

"No! No!", I clenched my fists.

"Melanie...", Gray muttered.

"Even though this is going to be hard, I am not going to leave him behind. We are related after all." I smiled at everyone as I started to walk towards him. "We are a family made of wizards of the light. Zeref is the only one that is a wizard of the darkness. As his cousin and fellow family member, it's my responsibility to bring him back to the light. I risk anything to bring him back to where he belongs!", I said with confidence.

Everyone was silent as they looked at me.

"Why are you still here? I'm already bored! But, if you want to sacrifice your life, then I will be happy to make that happen for you," Zeref said in a happy manner.

"I will not sacrifice my life for something like this. But, if this involves Fairy Tail then I would do anything to let you touch Fairy Tail again!"

Me: Ex-quip! The Fairy Tail Warrior!

I grabbed onto my spear and got into a fighting position.

"I will do anything to protect Fairy Tail!", I yelled with a look of determination.

"Heh. I like your attitude, cousin," he said with a smile as he got into a fighting position as well.

I made a smirk as we both ran to each other.
