Soulmates

"Ok, now we need to find you shoes and maybe some cute accessories." Veronica says, looking around the store. "What about these?" Kevin says, holding up the best shoes I'd ever seen.

"Cute, simple but cute." Veronica says. "I love them!" "Ok, now onto accessories!" Veronica giggles. "Necklaces, brackets and hair accessories!" Kevin walks towards the accessories section. "Ooh this cute!" Veronica says holding up a cute head piece. "I love it!"

"What about this?" Kevin says holding up a necklace. "Wow!"

"Ok, now I just need a bracelet!" I say. We look around for a while until we find the perfect one. A cute rhinestones bracelet clip on.

"Wait, what about earrings?" Veronica asks. " I have the perfect ones at home, don't worry." I grin at her. We pay and leave just before the shops close. When we get back to my place I try on the outfit all together and it all matches perfectly. "The only thing I'm missing is my earrings." I say, going through my draws.

"Omg B! Those are so cute!" "Thanks, I think I'm ready for my party!" "Yep, we'll sort out the venue, food, guests, etc. You just need to keep standing here, looking STUNNING!" Kevin states. I giggle. "Thanks Kev, Thanks V. What would I do without you two lunatics?" We all laugh. We get home hours later and watch movies on netflix until it starts getting dark so Veronica and Kevin leave. I grab all the clothes from the mall out of the bags and lay them out in front of me. I hear a light tapping on the door and my mothers head sticks in. "Hey sweetie, what are you-" she stops and stares down at the outfit I have on the floor. I can't tell if she's angry or happy. Her mouth curves into a delighted smile. "Is this your outfit for your birthday?" "Yeah, do you like it?" "It's beautiful, Betty!" She beamed at me and I giggle at her reaction. "Thanks mom." "No problem, I'm downstairs cooking dinner. I'll leave you be." I smile at her and nod. She closes the door softly. I look down at my outfit with joy. This is going to be amazing!

Day before her bday - Betty POV
Veronica and Kevin are here, going over the venue, food and guests. "Okay so I decided,as an add on to the amazing presents I'm getting you,  to have your birthday at my new speak-easy for opening night! Josie even said she would entertain us with music!" My face looks shocked. "Oh my gosh, V you didn't have to!" She smiles. "I already asked Pop if he could supply us with some catering in exchange for saving it. He says someone can pick them up half an hour before but since the speak easy is literally below Pops, he can just bring them down." I say happily. "That's great! Well I practically invited the whole school + F.P and people like. But I made sure to tell security not to let Chuck or anyone like that come in. I ain't letting no dickheads like him ruin my girls special night." Kevin says protectively. V and I both giggle.

Day of... Betty POV
I woke up fresh this morning with a smile on my face. I grab my phone and see tons of messages from everyone saying happy bday, but the only one that matters is Juggies.
Jug 💕: Hey Betts! Happy 18th 🥳Can't wait to come to your party tonight which is something I never thought I'd say but just for you I guess I'll go 😉❤️xx
Betty: aww thanks Jug, can't wait to see you too! Not really a party person either so maybe we can just sneak off into a corner and enjoy our company xx
Jug 💕: sounds great to me, see you then Juliet ❤️😏

I giggle uncontrollably. I walk downstairs and start stretching. "What are you doing?" My mom laughs. "Don't want to have a cramp when I dance, now do I?" I ask with a grin on my face. She just laughs more. "I'm making chocolate waffles, you favourite, for breakfast!" She grins. "Thanks Mom" I laugh. "Oh yeah, Happy Birthday, honey. I love you" I grin. "Thank you, I love you too." She smiles. I walk over to the living room where there were stacks of presents lined up, all with the same black and white wrapping paper. I pick one up and shake it. Clothes. I pick up another really small one. A book. I reach for another, but hear footsteps coming round the corner. I turn to see my Dad, smirking at me. "Hey! No peeking! And Happy Birthday, kid." He says, smiling now. "Sorry! I'm just so excited for tonight!" (A/N- In this AU Hal isn't a serial killer) "It will be great, Betty." My dad smiled.

I won't be writing anymore Bughead fanfics or anything to do with riverdale because I'm not that interested in the show anymore soooo ya.
