INT. SPIN IT SKATING RINK – DAY

Flynn's recording on his video camera, walking backward as FTW perform around the rink. Their classmates skate around them and their music blasts through the rink speakers. Everyone's enjoying themselves, but Flynn's not feeling it.

FLYNN

Cut. This isn't working.

Everyone stops what they're doing.

TORIE

What's the problem?

FLYNN

I need some sort of dolly to get the effect I'm envisioning in my head.

VANCE

Then build something, you nerd.

Savannah swats him.

VANCE (CONT'D)

It's a term of endearment.

Flynn gets an idea.

FLYNN

Take five?

He runs up to Mateo at the skate pickup/ drop off.

FLYNN (CONT'D)

How much for the skates?

RINK

Flynn's DIY remote controlled skates dolly films Mo and Eric spinning around hand in hand in the middle of the rink. Clarke stands by and watches.

CLARKE

You're a genius, but you know you could have saved time by just putting on the skates yourself.

FLYNN

This way no one gets hurt.

GIFT SHOP

Savannah and Vance are browsing the glowing and blinking gifts in the display case. Savannah points at a blinking pacifier.

SAVANNAH

That ones really cool.

VANCE

A blinking pacifier? What, are you twelve. Besides, don't you think you have enough junk?

That stings.

SAVANNAH

You know what? Forget it.

She storms off.

VANCE

It was a joke! (to worker) So touchy today.

FOOD COURT

Torie and Jaxson walk away from the counter holding slushies. Someone rolls up behind them and Taggs Jaxson causing him to bump into Torie. Her blueberry slushie spills all over her skates, ruining them.

TORIE

I hate this game.
